Power Supply

This calculator is equipped with a dual power source: a solar cell and an alkaline battery (LR54 x 1). The duration of the battery depends on individual usage.

Note: Do not attempt to change the battery yourself. Please have a qualified Canon Service Center technician replace the battery.

Calculation Examples

Mixed Operations

• Addition and Subtraction: 140 - 35 + 22 = 127
• Multiplication: 2 x 23 = 46
• Negative Multiplication: -7 x 9 = -63
• Order of Operations (Multiplication before Addition): 9 + 5 x 3.2 + 7 = 12.76
• Order of Operations with Parentheses: (2 + 4) + 3 x 8.1 = 16.2

Power and Fractions

• Power Calculation: 3³ = 27
• Fraction to Decimal: 1/2 = 0.5

Square Root

• Square Root Calculation: √3 ≈ 1.7320508

Percentage Calculations

• Percentage of a number: 1200 x 12% = 144
• Adding a percentage: 200 + (200 x 20%) = 240
• Subtracting a percentage: 200 - (200 x 20%) = 160

Memory Functions

• Store Value: Perform 3 x 4 = 12. This value is stored in memory.
• Memory Calculation: Recall the stored value (12) and perform M - 6 + 0.2. The displayed result is 30.
• Store and Recall: Store 200 in memory. Recall memory. The displayed result is 182.

Overflow and Error Examples

• Overflow: Calculating 123456 x 7890 results in a value too large for the display, indicated by an error symbol or scientific notation.
• Error: Invalid operations may result in an error indicator (e.g., 'E') and a displayed value of 0.
