Towbar Installation

Locate the Towbar mounting points on the outside face of each chassis member; these are usually covered with tape.
Remove the fixings from the lower edge of the bumper.
Using Item F with Item K loosely fix the N/S side arm (Item B) to the forward mounting point only.
Insert Item D through the hole in the lower face of the N/S chassis member only and fix Item B through the rearmost fixing point using Item G with Item K.
Insert Item A into the bumper and fix to the N/S side arm (Item B) using Item G with Item K. (Some models require the exhaust silencer to be lowered to gain access into the bumper)
Using Item F with Item K loosely fix the O/S side arm (Item B) to the forward mounting point only.
Insert Item D through the hole in the lower face of the O/S chassis member and fix Item B through the rearmost fixing point using Item G with Item K. (Note: Some models require Item F at this point as the vehicle has captive thread)
Using Item G with Item K fix Item A to the O/S side arm (Item B).
Using Item H with Item K and Item J fix Item C and Item E to Item A.
Fully tighten all fixings ensuring the Towbar is rigid, square and secure. Refit all fixings to the bumpers lower edge.

Component Diagram Description

The diagram shows the main towbar crossmember (Item A) connecting to the vehicle chassis via handed side arms (Item B). The swan neck towball assembly (Item C) is attached to the crossmember. Various fasteners, including M12 bolts (F, G, H), Nyloc nuts, and flat washers (K), are used with clamp plates (D) and spacer plates (J) for secure attachment. Labels indicate a location for wiring harness ("Clip Wiring Loom Here N/S") and specify the towball type ("Fixed Flange VK Detachable", "Fixed Swan Neck"). Fastener quantities are shown, e.g., "3x K" indicates three flat washers.
