Step 2: Determine Floor Panel Type & Attach Front Bracket

Determine if the vehicle has an open floor panel or a factory threaded hole in the floor panel.

(1) Vehicles with open mounting location:

  1. Insert one (1) 10mm Nut Plate into the large square opening in the floor panel. Align the threaded nut with the hole between the pair of holes on the pinch weld. Diagram Description (Fig 2): Close-up of the passenger side floor panel with a 10mm Nut Plate inserted into a square opening.
  2. Select the Passenger/Right Front Mounting Bracket. Note: Center Brackets have a notch at the bottom, and Rear Brackets have a notch at the top. Identify brackets according to the Part List.
  3. Attach the Bracket to the Nut Plate using one (1) 10mm x 35mm Hex Bolt, one (1) 10mm Lock Washer, and one (1) 10mm x 34mm Flat Washer. Do not tighten hardware yet. Diagram Description (Fig 3): Illustration shows the Passenger/Right Front Mounting Bracket being attached to the 10mm Nut Plate with specified hardware.
