Remote Control
This section describes the Kogan remote control (models RCKGNTVN004) for the 32" HD LED Smart TV.
Remote Control Operation:
- Ensure the distance between the remote control and the TV is no greater than 8 metres.
- Maintain an angle of no more than 30 degrees on either side.
- Point the remote towards the sensor at the front of the TV.
Indicator Light:
- White light on: Indicates the remote is powered and ready.
- White light off: Indicates the remote is not powered or has an issue.
Smart Hub and Connectivity
The TV's interface provides access to various features and connections:
- External Devices: Check and select external devices connected through external ports or the network.
- Mobile Sharing: Connect your mobile device to the TV to share its screen and enjoy content.
- Media Server/USB: This option is only available if you have connected a USB storage device or a media server.
- Camera: Launches the connected camera.
- Audio Output: Displays the currently selected output speaker and allows navigation to output speaker settings.
- Bluetooth: View the list of connected Bluetooth devices and select one.
- Home IoT: Check and control devices connected via Home IoT.
- LG ThinQ Account: Log in or out with your LG ThinQ account.
- Input/Device Management:
- Edit Inputs: Edit the name of connected devices or apply related settings.
- Edit Home IoT Devices: Hide or show connected Home IoT Devices and rearrange the list.
- Notification: Turn on or off notifications from connected devices.
- Universal Control Settings: Navigate to the Universal Control Settings app.
- User Guide: Navigate to the User Guide app.
- Quit App: Turns off the app from running in the background.

Account, Search, and App Management
LG Account: Log in to your LG Account or view basic information about your current account.

Input Return: Returns to the most recently used TV or external input.
App Management: Run, move, and delete apps installed on your TV.
Quick Settings
Access and configure various TV settings:
- Picture Mode: Set the desired picture mode (e.g., Standard, Vivid, Cinema).
- Sound Mode: Set the desired sound mode (e.g., Standard, Music, Cinema).
- Sound Out: Choose the audio output source (e.g., TV Speaker, Optical, HDMI ARC).
- Game Optimizer: Directs to the Game Optimizer settings for an enhanced gaming experience.
- Network Settings: Access and manage network connections (Wi-Fi, Ethernet).
- More Options: Access additional settings not listed in the quick menu.
- Customize Quick Settings: Add or delete quick setting items and change their order for personalized access.
Content List and Recordings
Manage and play recorded content:
Content List Management:
- Launch Search: Initiate a search for content.
- Content List Settings: Apply settings such as storage devices and sort options for the content list.
- Close App: Exit the current application.
Recordings Playback: You can only play recordings made on the current TV.
- Playback Controls:
- Previous Recording: Navigate to the previous recorded item.
- Play/Pause: Play or pause the current recording.
- Next Recording: Navigate to the next recorded item.
- Closed Captions: Turn closed captions on or off.
- Continuous Playback: Set recordings to play one after another.
- Fast Rewind: Rewind the video at higher speeds.
- Fast Forward: Fast-forward the video at higher speeds.
- Settings: Set features such as Resume playback and audio language.
- Recording List: A list of recordings is shown below the playback controls.
- Note: The configurable items may differ depending on the model.
Channel Management
Control channel access and display:
- Lock/Unlock Channels: Lock selected channels to prevent unauthorized viewing or unlock previously locked channels.
- Skip Channels: Set selected channels to be skipped when switching channels using the channel up/down buttons, or disable the skipping option for channels previously set to be skipped.
Notifications
Manage system notifications:
- View Details: Select a notification to view its details. If a shortcut is supported, the associated app can be launched.
- Delete Notifications: Remove unwanted notifications from the list.
Close App: Exits the notification application.
DVD Remote Control and Setup

DVD Remote Buttons:
- 1 Power [power-symbol]: Press to enter or exit standby mode.
- 2 Eject [eject-symbol]: Eject or load a disk from the DVD module.

- 6 Stop [stop-symbol]: Press to stop playback in media mode.
- 7 TITLE: Return to the DVD title menu.

DVD Setup Options:
- Audio Set: Set the type of sound output.
- TV System: Set the TV system to PAL, Auto, or NTSC, according to your local TV system and disc.
- TV Type: Set the TV display type to 4:3 Panscan, 4:3 LetterBox, or 16:9.
- OSD Language: Set the DVD On-Screen Display language to English, French, or Spanish.
- Screen Saver: Turn the screen saver on or off.
- Resume: Turn the resume playback feature on or off.
- Audio Language: Set the preferred audio language for DVDs.
- Subtitle: Set the preferred subtitle language for DVDs.
- Password: Set a new parental control password for DVD setup. The original password is "0000".
- Parental Set: Set the parental control rating. A password is required to change this option.
- Default: Reset all DVD setup menu options to factory defaults.
