Appliance Description (Fig. A)
Diagram A Description: A visual representation of the Smeg High Performance Blender. It shows the motor base (7) with a control panel (5) and a control knob/display (6). A jug (3) with a lid (2) and measuring cup (1) attaches to the motor base. Accessories include a tamper (11), spatula (12), and cleaning brush (13). The vacuum pump (9) and cap (10) are also shown. The jug contains stainless steel blades (14).
Parts List:
- 1 Measuring cup: Used to measure ingredients (max. 30 ml).
- 2 Lid with pouring hole: Features a gasket for a tight seal and a central pouring hole for easy addition of ingredients, including use with the tamper.
- 3 1.5 litre jug: Made of Tritan™ Renew, with a lip and markings in litres and cups. Minimum capacity 0.25 litres (1 cup), maximum 1.5 litres (6 cups).
- 4 ON/OFF key: Powers the appliance on or off.
- 5 Control panel: Houses the program selection buttons.
- 6 Control knob and display: Used for speed adjustment and displaying selected functions/modes.
- 7 Motor body: The main unit containing the motor.
- 8 Non-slip base: Provides stability during operation.
- 9 Vacuum pump: Preserves flavour and texture by applying vacuum pressure.
- 10 Vacuum pump cap: Used with the vacuum pump.
- 11 Tamper: Conveys ingredients into the cutting area, useful for dense preparations.
- 12 Spatula: Collects food residues from inside the jug.
- 13 Cleaning brush: Removes food residues near the blades.
- 14 Jug blades: Stainless steel blades for crushing ice and preparing various mixtures.
Controls and Display (Fig. B & C)
The blender features 5 pre-set programs: Smoothie, Green Smoothie, Frozen Dessert, Ice-Crush, and Autoclean, plus a PULSE function, all accessible via the control panel (5).

Speed Adjustment Knob (6): Allows selection of nine manual speeds and displays settings. The display shows a flashing "0" by default.

- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- This appliance is for household use only.
- Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
- Do not allow children to use the appliance. Children should not play with the appliance. Keep out of reach of children.
- Keep packaging material out of reach of children.
- Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children.
- Turn off the appliance immediately after use.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is running.
- Disconnect from the wall outlet before assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and after each use.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off," then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
- To protect against fire, electrical shock and personal injury, do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Do not touch the appliance or plug with wet hands.
- Never try to extinguish a flame/fire with water: turn off, unplug, and cover the flame with a lid or fire blanket.

- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles and knobs.
- Do not place the appliance near faucets or sinks.
- Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself or without a qualified technician. Failing to do so will void the warranty.
- In case of malfunction, have the appliance repaired by a qualified technician.
- Do not make any changes to the appliance.
- Ensure the power outlet used is always freely accessible for unplugging.
- To remove the plug, operate directly on the plug. Never pull the cable.
- If the appliance breaks down, do not attempt to repair it.
- Do not allow the power supply cable to dangle over the edge of the table or other surface or to touch hot surfaces.
- If the plug or power supply cable are damaged, have them replaced exclusively by the Technical After-sales centre.
- The appliance shall not be placed in a cabinet when in use.
- Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.
- Only use the appliance indoors and at a maximum altitude of 2000 meters.
- Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer. Use of non-recommended spare parts may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
- Place the appliance on a flat, dry surface.
- Avoid wetting or spraying liquid on the appliance. In case of contact with liquid, immediately unplug and dry thoroughly: Risk of electric shock!
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects to clean the appliance.
- The use of an accessory not evaluated for use with this appliance may cause injuries.
- Do not install the appliance in an unsuitable environment.
- Do not place the appliance on or in proximity of electric or gas cookers, or in a heated oven.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless closely supervised and instructed by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Avoid contacting moving parts.
- This appliance has important markings on the plug blade. Contact a qualified technician to replace the plug if damaged.
- Connect the appliance only to a perfectly installed power outlet.
- Do not attempt to defeat any safety interlock mechanisms.
- Keep hands and utensils, other than the tamper, out of the container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury. The cover must remain in place when using the tamper. A scraper may be used only when the blender is not running.
- Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
- Always operate blender with cover in place. Use of unauthorized attachments may cause injury.
- Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the blender as it can be ejected due to sudden steaming.
- Do not blend hot liquids.
Connect the appliance:
- Ensure mains voltage corresponds with the data plate.
- Connect only to a perfectly installed power outlet.
- If plug and outlet are incompatible, have the outlet replaced by qualified staff.
This user's manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be kept intact and available to the user throughout its life cycle.
Manufacturer's liability: The manufacturer declines all liability for damage undergone by persons and objects due to: use of the appliance different from that envisioned; user manual not read; tampering of individual parts; use of non-original spare parts; failure to comply with safety recommendations.
Identification plate: Lists technical data, serial number, and brand name. Must never be removed. This appliance has a polarized plug. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug. Flashing light indicates ready to operate. Avoid contact with blades or moveable parts.

General Use:
- Position the blender on a flat surface and fix the jug (3) to the motor base (7).
- Introduce ingredients into the jug (3), not exceeding maximum capacity (1.5 litres/6 cups).
- Position the lid (2) with the measuring cup (1) onto the jug (3) and screw tightly.
- Connect the power cable to a current outlet.
- Press the ON button. The blender is ready for use when button LEDs are lit.
[Warning Symbol] Electrocution hazard: Put the plug into a compliant earthed outlet. Do not tamper with the earth, use an adapter, or extension. Failure to comply can cause death, fire, or electrocution.
Stand-by mode: Activated automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity, or if the blender is stopped manually for more than 10 seconds, or at the end of every pre-set program. The display shows the Stand-by icon (21) and button LEDs are off.
- The display shows a flashing "0" by default.
- Select desired speed using the control knob (6) or a pre-set program.
- Do not operate at speeds 1-8 for more than 3 minutes continuously.
Additional ingredients can be added by removing the measuring cup (1) and pouring through the hole in the lid (2).
The appliance has a safety lock system (stops motor when jug is removed) and a motor protection device (trips if overloaded).
Smooth Start System: On start-up, speed progressively increases to the set speed, preventing damage and improving blending. Operates only for speeds 1-9, not with PULSE or pre-set programs.
Manual Function:
- Turn knob clockwise to select speed. Display shows speed and "M" icon.
- Press dial knob ring to start. Display shows time (count up) from 0:00.
- Turn knob to increase/decrease speed. Display shows selected speed for 1 second, then returns to time.
- To PAUSE: press dial knob ring, "COUNT UP" flashes. Press again to resume.
- To stop and return to manual mode: press any key or knob for 2 seconds.
- After 10 seconds of inactivity, goes into Stand-by.
Note: Speed can be changed at any time in manual mode. After 3 minutes of continuous operation at speeds 1-8, the blender stops and goes into standby. Speed 9 can heat soups for up to 6 minutes.
Single/Family Serve Mode and Preset Programs:
- Single/Family modes are for single or multi-portions and can be activated with Smoothie, Green Smoothie, and Frozen Dessert programs.
- To activate: Press program button. LED lights up. Display shows FAMILY SERVE (25) by default. Turn knob to select SINGLE SERVE (24). Press dial knob ring to start. Display shows time remaining (COUNT DOWN).
- LED of selected button remains on; others off. Cycle ends automatically, goes into Stand-by.
- To PAUSE: press dial knob ring. Count-down flashes, keys light up. Press dial knob ring again to resume.
- To stop: press preset function key or knob for 2 seconds.
- To change program: press desired program button.
ICE CRUSH Program: Press program button, display shows time. Press dial knob ring to start. Cycle ends automatically. Pause/stop/change program as above.
Pulse Function: Activated in manual mode (speed 1-8). Pressing PULSE button operates at maximum speed (display shows 9). Returns to previous speed when released. PULSE key lights up only in Manual mode (M icon). PULSE function does not work with pre-set programs.
How to use the vacuum pump accessory (Fig. F)*:
- The vacuum pump must be activated before any blending cycle. Wait for it to stop before starting a cycle.
- Do not blend ingredients while the vacuum pump is operating to prevent damage. Vacuum blending may not have a noticeable impact if food lacks a liquid element (herbs, spices, nuts).
- Unscrew accessory base to check for 4 batteries (NOT INCLUDED).
- Introduce ingredients into jug, close lid.
- Replace measuring cup (1) with vacuum pump cap (10).
- Place vacuum pump (9) above cap (10).
- Activate pump by pressing upper button. LED lights up.
- Accessory stops automatically when vacuum pressure is reached. LED switches off.
- Remove vacuum pump (9) from cap (10).
- Activate blender by selecting manual speed or pre-set program.
- When cycle ends, press cap valve to release pressure. Remove jug cap.

* It is possible to heat soups from room temperature and after cooking, by activating the blender at speed 9 for a maximum of 6 minutes.
** FROZEN DESSERT function: Texture may be affected by recipe/ingredients. For frozen food, introduce small pieces and wait a few minutes. For "Single Serve" mode, increase liquid proportion.
Automatic Cleaning Function
The blender has a specific automatic cleaning function.

Advices for Use of the Blender
- To obtain the best results: cut food into cubes. Insert liquids first, then leafy greens, soft ingredients, dried fruit/seeds/cereals, and lastly ice/frozen ingredients. It may be necessary to interrupt operation to let ingredients slide down the jug walls with a spatula.
- When mixing liquid and dry ingredients, insert liquid ingredients first.
- Remove hard elements from foods (e.g., cores, kernels, bones).
- Do not let food residues dry inside the jug and on the blades for a long period, as it may be difficult to remove. If so, pour warm water and leave soaking.
Cleaning and Maintenance

Incorrect use. Risk of damage to the surfaces.
- Do not use steam jets to clean the appliance.
- Do not use cleaning products containing chlorine, ammonia or bleach on metal surface finishes (e.g., anodised, nickel or chrome-plated).
- Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents (e.g., powder products, stain removers, metal scourers).
- Do not use rough or abrasive materials or sharp metal scrapers.
Cleaning the motor base: Clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth and neutral detergent after use and when cooled down.

Cleaning the blender: The jug, lid (2), and measuring cup (1) are dishwasher safe or can be washed using the pre-set Autoclean program. Ensure parts are completely dry before reassembling.
Cleaning the accessories:
- Never immerse the vacuum pump (9)* in water or any other liquid. It is not dishwasher safe.
- The vacuum pump (10)* internal cap is dishwasher safe. For thorough cleaning, remove the valve and wash by hand.
- The vacuum pump (9)* body can be washed by hand in hot water and neutral detergent, NEVER in the dishwasher. Ensure it is completely dry before use.
- The tamper (11) and spatula (12) are dishwasher safe.
- The brush (13) can be washed by hand in hot water and neutral detergent, NEVER in the dishwasher.
Using the self-clean option (19):
- Introduce 200 ml of warm water and a few drops of neutral detergent into the jug.
- Press the automatic cleaning program button (19). The LED lights up, other buttons switch off.
- Display shows cycle duration time.
- Press dial knob button to start. Display shows COUNT DOWN.
- LED of selected button remains on; others off.
- Cycle ends automatically, goes into Stand-by. Display shows Stand-by icon (21), button LEDs off.
- To pause: press dial knob button. Count down flashes, program button LED is fixed. Press dial knob button again to resume.
- To stop: press button (19).
What To Do If......

Recipe Book
SMOOTHIES
Ingredients:
- Milk: 450 ml
- Natural yoghurt: 150 ml
- Banana: 400 g
Preparation:
- Cut the bananas into pieces and introduce the ingredients into the jug.
- Introduce the ingredients in the order suggested.
- Select the SMOOTHIES function with the "Family serve" mode.
- Wait until the program ends and serve immediately.
FROZEN DESSERT
Ingredients:
- Natural yoghurt: 270 g
- Frozen woodland fruits: 540 g
Preparation:
- Introduce ingredients in the order suggested and select the FROZEN DESSERT function and "Family serve" mode.
- During program operation, use the tamper to better convey ingredients into the cutting area.
- When the program ends, serve immediately.
GREEN SMOOTHIES
Ingredients:
- Water: 240 ml
- Grapes or kiwi: 300 g
- Pineapple: 180 g
- Fresh spinach: 120 g
- Banana: 110 g
- Ice cubes: 130 g
Preparation:
- Clean the fruit and vegetables and cut them into pieces.
- Introduce the ingredients into the jug in the order suggested.
- Select the GREEN SMOOTHIES function with the "Family serve" mode.
- Wait until the program ends and serve immediately.
