2. Requirements

Product Requirements:

  • Devices with Bluetooth audio capability, a USB Type-A port, or a 3.5mm audio jack.

RAZER SYNAPSE Requirements:

  • Windows 10 64-bit (or higher).
  • Internet connection for application installation.

RAZER AUDIO Application Requirements:

  • Xbox Series™ X|S.
  • iOS 12 / Android 8.1 Oreo (or higher).
  • Internet connection for application installation.

3. Getting Started

Charging the Headset

Powering the Headset On/Off:

Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn ON/OFF.

Connecting to Your Device:

For optimal performance, connect the Razer BlackShark V3 for Xbox directly to your PC's USB port using the included cable. A full charge for a depleted battery takes approximately 4 hours. If the receiver is in use, you can use the USB-C cable that comes with your Xbox controller to charge the headset.

8. For PC

Ensure the Razer BlackShark V3 for Xbox is set as the default input and output device on your computer.

Wired Mode:

Use the Razer Synapse app to customize your headset's equalizer, enable audio enhancements, and fine-tune other advanced features. Install Razer Synapse when prompted, or download it from cn.razer.com/synapse.

9. For Mobile Devices

Download the Razer Audio app to customize your headset's equalizer settings, auto-off function, game modes, and more, anytime, anywhere.

  1. Download the mobile application on your mobile device.
  2. Open the application and follow the on-screen instructions.

14. Configuring Your Razer Headset

This section details the configuration options available through the Razer Synapse software.

Disclaimer:

This guide covers the new Razer Synapse app, which may only partially cover your device's features. Synapse requires an internet connection for installation, updates, and cloud features. Razer ID registration is recommended but not mandatory. Feature availability may vary by version, device, and add-ons.

SYNAPSE Overview:

  • Minimize: Minimizes the app to the system tray.
  • Maximize: Expands the window to fill the screen.
  • Close: Closes all tabs and terminates the application.
  • Previous Tab: Navigates to the previously viewed tab.
  • Next Tab: Navigates to the next tab.
  • Refresh Tab: Reloads the current page.
  • Download Updates: Appears if updates are available.

Control Panel:

The main hub for Razer devices, modules, and online services.

  • Devices: View and manage connected peripherals.
  • Modules: Install and manage software add-ons.
  • Online Services: Access Razer's online features.
  • Gamer Room: Manage Razer Chroma-enabled devices for ambient lighting.
  • Synapse Overlays: Customize lighting effects and sync with games.
  • GAMER ROOM Application Control: Control devices via the Gamer Room app.

Devices and Modules:

Lists installed and available modules.

General Hotkeys:

Assign custom key combinations to functions across all device profiles.

Profiles:

Save and manage device settings. Profiles can be imported, exported, renamed, etc.

  • Profiles Dropdown: Select from saved profiles.
  • Other (...) Button: Manage profiles (add, import, rename, copy, export, delete).
  • Audio Equalizer:
    • Select presets (Game, Movie, Music, Esports) or customize.
    • Game Profiles: Automatically load specific audio settings when a game is active.
    • Game/Program association: Link applications to specific profiles.
    • Volume: Adjust master volume or per-application volume using Windows Volume Mixer.
    • Game/Chat Balance: Mix audio between game and chat.
    • Audio Properties: Access Windows sound settings.
  • Enhancements:
    • Sound Normalization: Adjusts volume levels for consistency.
    • Bass Boost: Enhances low-frequency output.
    • Voice Clarity: Improves the quality of voice communications.
  • Microphone:
    • Adjust microphone volume or mute/unmute.
    • Mic Test: Test microphone input audio levels.
    • Mic Enhancements: Improve mic quality (Sound Normalization, Bright Voice, Noise Reduction, Gate).
    • Mic Equalizer: Select or customize microphone EQ presets.
    • Mic Monitoring: Hear your own voice through the headset.
  • Power: Manage power consumption for wireless devices.
    • LED Indicator: Customize what the HyperSpeed receiver's LED displays (Connection Status, Battery Status, Battery Warning).
    • Wireless Power Saving: Set automatic device shutdown after a period of inactivity.
  • Display: Switch between Stereo and THX Spatial Audio.
  • Games: Link applications to peripherals.
  • Devices: View connected devices and their associated applications.
  • Settings:
    • Synapse: Configure Synapse application settings (Auto-start, Recommendations, Device Lighting, Notifications, Tutorials, Language, About).
    • About: Displays software version, copyright, and links to Razer's terms and community.
  • Feedback: Submit feedback, suggestions, or bug reports.

15. Safety and Maintenance

Safety Guidelines:

For maximum safety, follow these guidelines:

  • If the device malfunctions, unplug it and contact Razer support or visit support.razer.com/cn.
  • Do not disassemble the device (this voids the warranty). Do not use under abnormal electrical load conditions.
  • Keep the device away from liquids and moisture. Use only in environments between 0°C and 40°C. If temperatures exceed this range, unplug or turn off the device to stabilize its temperature.
  • Gently stretch the headband before wearing to minimize pressure on the headband. Do not overstretch.
  • The headset provides sound isolation, which can reduce awareness of your surroundings. Remove the headset if your activity requires awareness of your environment.
  • Listening at high volumes for extended periods can damage your hearing. Legal maximum sound levels may be around 86 decibels for 8 hours daily. Lower the volume to a comfortable level. Protect your hearing.

Maintenance and Care:

The Razer BlackShark V3 for Xbox requires minimal maintenance. Clean monthly with a soft cloth or cotton swab to prevent dirt buildup. Do not use soap or corrosive cleaners.
