PDT-T-DV-MF Components
Figure 2 displays the components included in the PDT-T-DV-MF kit:
- End Stop
- End Cap
- Line Terminal Blocks (Black)
- Neutral Terminal Blocks (White)
- Bypass Jumper Barrier
- Bypass Jumpers (x4)
- Output Terminal Blocks (Red)
- Line Terminal Block (Black)
- Labels
- Ground Terminal Block (Green/Yellow)
- Extraction Tool
Installation Steps
- Turn power off to all feeds to the panel. Ensure all supply breakers are located and locked in the OFF position.
- Select the module position and locate the terminal blocks associated with that position. Modules can be placed in any available mounting location in a Lutron DIN rail panel.
- Install the terminal kit.
Figure 3 illustrates the terminal block modification process:
- Figure 3a: Use the provided extraction tool to remove the pre-installed bypass jumper from the red and black terminal blocks.
- Figure 3b: Remove the upper end stop and labels from the dimmed line/hot (red) terminal blocks. The line/hot label will need to be separated from the strip and replaced.
- Figure 3c: Move the neutral terminal blocks (white) and separate the dimmed line/hot terminal blocks.
Install the provided kit as shown in Figure 4. Ensure the bypass jumper barrier in the center of the terminal block is oriented towards the bottom of the panel.
- Install the wiring harness. Use the PDW-T-DV-MF (sold separately) to wire the multi-feed DIN module, as depicted in Figure 5.
- Mount the multi-feed DIN module into the DIN rail panel. The module will snap onto the DIN rail.
- Connect the module to the QS link. If using a Lutron harness, follow the instructions provided with the QS harness.
- Connect the load and line wires to the left side of the terminal blocks as shown in Figure 5. Do not overtighten screws. Torque to 5.31 in-lb to 7.08 in-lb (0.60 Nm to 0.80 Nm).
- Verify wiring safety.
- Test all load wiring. Turn on input power to the module locations. Check all connected loads. If a circuit breaker trips, a wiring error exists and must be resolved.
- Refer to the DIN panel instruction sheet to complete panel installation.
Figure 1 shows the pre-installed terminal block configuration, indicating terminal labels such as N1, DH1, DH2, H1, N/C, and GND, along with structural components like End Stop and End Cap.
Figure 4 details the installation of the PDT-T-DV-MF kit, showing the placement of new components like terminal blocks, bypass jumpers, end stops, and end caps.
Figure 5 provides a panel configuration example for the QSN-4T20-D, demonstrating the wiring connections for the multi-feed DIN module. It shows how line, neutral, load, and control wires connect to specific terminals on the module and the panel.
