BioFace B1 Series

Due to regular upgrades of systems and products, ZKTeco could not guarantee exact consistency between the actual product and the written information in this manual.

Installation Environment

Please refer to the following recommendations for installation:

How to Install the Device on the wall?

Step 1: Stick the wall-mounting template to the wall and drill holes according to the wall-mounting template.

Diagram shows a wall with a mounting template attached. The template indicates drilling points and cable routing. Key dimensions shown are a recommended height of 1450mm from the ground, and hole spacing/size indicators of 30mm and 6mm.

Step 2: Insert the expansion tubes into the mounting holes.

Step 3: Attach the backplate on the wall using the wall mounting screws.

Note: Please insert the wire through the backplate before installation.

Diagram shows expansion tubes being inserted into pre-drilled holes on the wall. Subsequently, a backplate is shown being attached to the wall using mounting screws, with a note to pass wires through the backplate first.

Step 4: Attach the terminal to the backplate.

Step 5: Attach the terminal to the backplate with a security screw.

Diagram illustrates the main device terminal unit being attached to the mounted backplate. A final step shows securing the terminal to the backplate with a small security screw.

Door Bell, Exit Button and Alarm Connection

Wiring diagrams detail connections for external devices. For Door Bell, Exit Button, and Alarm: terminals like WD1, WD0, GND, +12V, ID1, ID0, BELL-, BELL+, SEN, BUT, AUX, AL-, AL+ are shown connecting to Exit Button, Bell Power, Door Bell, Alarm, and Alarm's Power Switch.

Door Sensor and Smoke Detection Connection

For Door Sensor and Smoke Detection: similar terminal connections are shown for Door Sensor and Smoke Detector.

Power Connection

Power Connection diagram shows the device connecting to a 12V DC power supply.

Recommended Power Supply:

RS485 and Wiegand Connection

RS485 and Wiegand Connection diagram illustrates data and control signal connections between the device, an Access Controller, and a Wiegand Reader, utilizing RS485 and Wiegand protocols.

Ethernet Connection

Ethernet Connection diagram shows the device connecting to a PC via an Ethernet (RJ45) cable. Default IP Address: 192.168.1.201, Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0. IP Address: 192.168.1.130, Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0. Instructions: Click COMM. > Ethernet > IP Address on the device, input the IP address and click OK.

Lock Relay Connection

The system supports Normally Opened Lock and Normally Closed Lock. The NO LOCK (normally opened at power on) is connected with “NO1" and “COM" terminals, and the NC LOCK (normally closed at power on) is connected with "NC1" and “COM" terminals. Take NC Lock as an example below:

Diagrams illustrate how to connect Normally Opened (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) electric locks to the device, showing configurations for devices that share power with the lock and those that do not.
