Product Overview
The Televes Overlight optical transmitter CWDM is an advanced solution designed for outdoor use, supporting DAB/UHF/SAT signals. It operates at 1570nm with a Po of 9dBm, featuring enhanced electronics and optical engineering to optimize TV signal distribution.
Specifically engineered for outdoor installations, this CWDM WideBand satellite and terrestrial optical transmitter is ideal for connecting to an LNB at a minimum distance. It is intended for two-satellite transmission, capable of serving over 64 users. The device receives satellite signals from a WideBand LNB and terrestrial band signals, distributing them via a single optical fiber output.

WideBand Technology Explained
WideBand technology, also known as FullBand, utilizes a broad range of frequencies for broadband transmission. This technology allows a significant portion, or the entire frequency spectrum, to be available to users. It is particularly useful in fiber deployments requiring long cable runs or in coaxial setups when combined with compatible multiswitches.
In a WideBand system, an LNB captures a complete satellite signal and distributes it through two universal outputs (vertical -V- and horizontal -H-), accommodating both high (H) and low (L) bands within a frequency range of 290 to 2340 MHz.
Compared to traditional Quattro technology, WideBand offers several advantages:
- Simpler, Faster, and Cleaner Installation: Requires half the number of coaxial cables, leading to quicker, easier, and tidier installations.
- Wider Bandwidth: Transmits more information due to its wide bandwidth (290-2340MHz), enabling more services for end-users.
- Reusable Deployment: Allows signal distribution by repurposing existing Quattro installations, requiring only compatible LNBs and MSWs.
