Televes Overlight Optical Transmitter CWDM
Product Overview
The Televes Overlight is an outdoor CWDM optical transmitter designed for DAB/UHF/SAT signals, operating at 1510nm with a 9dBm optical power output. It is specifically engineered for outdoor installations, allowing for signal distribution from the LNB to up to 64 users. This device receives a satellite signal from an RF WideBand LNB and terrestrial band, distributing it over a single fiber output.
Its optimized electronics and low losses reduce the need for amplifiers, simplifying the deployment of collective installations while maintaining signal quality. The Overlight system distributes satellite and terrestrial signals through a single optical fiber, enabling amplification.
This product is certified with the European IRS Certification Scheme mark, confirming it has passed the latest EICS test specifications.

WideBand Technology
WideBand technology, also known as FullBand, utilizes a broad range of frequencies for broadband transmission. In WideBand TV systems, a significant portion or the entire frequency spectrum is available to users. It is suitable for fiber deployments requiring long cable runs or coaxial scenarios with compatible multiswitches.
With WideBand technology, an LNB captures a complete satellite signal and distributes it through two universal outputs (vertical -V- and horizontal -H-). Each output covers both high (H) and low (L) bands within a frequency range of 290 to 2340 MHz.
Compared to the widely deployed Quattro technology, WideBand offers significant advantages:
- Simpler, faster and cleaner installation: Requires half the number of coaxial cables from the LNB to the multiswitches compared to traditional Quattro deployments, leading to quicker, easier, and tidier installations.
- Wider bandwidth: WideBand channels support a greater bandwidth (290-2340MHz), allowing for more services to be delivered to end-users.
- Reusable deployment: Allows signal distribution by reusing existing Quattro installations. By changing only the LNBs and MSWs to be WideBand compatible, signals from up to two satellites can be distributed through the existing four cables from the roof.
