Charging Settings
From the main interface, select and short press [Scroll Wheel] to enter the charging function. If battery selection is enabled in system settings, you can save up to 5 battery records. Otherwise, it defaults to the first record.
1. Battery Type
Scroll [Scroll Wheel] to select a pre-set battery or create a new one. Short press [Scroll Wheel] to enter the battery setting interface for that group.
The charger supports the following battery types: LiPo, LiHV, LiFe, Lion, LTO, NiMh, and PB. After selecting the correct battery type, short press [OK] and [CH/Exit] to apply the settings and return to the previous interface.
Important: Choosing the wrong battery type can damage the battery, charger, and cause fire. Always select the correct type and follow manufacturer guidelines.
Nomenclature:
- LiPo: Lithium Polymer, nominal voltage 3.70V, fully charged 4.20V.
- LiHV: High-Voltage Lithium, nominal voltage 3.85V, fully charged 4.35V.
- LiFe: Lithium Iron, nominal voltage 3.30V, fully charged 3.60V.
- Lion: Lithium-ion, nominal voltage 3.60V, fully charged 4.10V.
- LTO: Lithium-ion, nominal voltage 2.40V, fully charged 2.70V.
- NiMh: Nickel-Hydrogen, nominal voltage 1.20V.
- PB: Lead-Acid, nominal voltage 2.00V.
2. Number of Cells
Move the cursor to "Cells" and short press [Scroll Wheel] to modify the number of battery cells. You can select specific cell counts (e.g., 1S, 2S, 3S, 4S) or choose "Auto" for automatic identification based on battery voltage.
Tips: Over-discharge or overcharge can cause cell identification errors. Incorrect cell number settings may lead to insufficient charging or battery damage. For LiXX batteries connected to the balance port, cell string number identification is more accurate.
3. Mode
Select "Mode" to choose between "Charge" and "StoCHG" (Storage Charge). LiPo, LiHV, LiFe, and Lion batteries can be charged and stored. NiMh, PB, and other battery types can be set to charge only. Apply settings by pressing [Scroll Wheel] and [CH/Exit].
4. End Voltage (TVC)
Select "End Voltage" to set the cut-off voltage per cell. For charging, this is the charging cut-off voltage (±50mV of full voltage). For discharging, it's the discharge cut-off voltage. Adjust the value in steps of 0.01V.
Note: Only LiPo, LiHV, and LiFe batteries allow cut-off voltage adjustment. TVC stands for Terminal Voltage Control.
5. Charging Current
Select "Charging Current" to set the charging current. Adjust the value in steps of 0.1A, or scroll quickly for faster adjustments. The charger supports up to 15A.
Tips: Set the charging rate between 1-2C based on battery capacity. For example, a 2000mAh battery should use a charging current of 2.0-4.0A. Consult your battery manufacturer's guidelines.
6. NiMh Setting (PeakV)
For NiMh batteries, you can set the negative peak voltage (PeakV) value when the battery is fully charged. The setting range is 3mV-15mV.
Vocabulary Explanation: PeakV refers to the drop in peak voltage of each cell when a NiMH battery is fully charged.
Charging
When charging begins, the charger displays the working interface, showing input voltage, current, power consumption, internal temperature, and per-channel details like voltage, current, time, and capacity. You can scroll [Scroll Wheel] to view internal resistance information for each channel.
Short press [Scroll Wheel] to dynamically adjust the working current or stop the current operation.
To end charging or discharging, scroll to [Stop] and short press [Scroll Wheel].
A prompt sound and box will appear upon charging completion or error.
