The charger supports charging and discharging of 6 types of batteries: Lipo, LiHV, LiFe, Lion, NiMh, and PB. It also supports two modes of power supply and smart battery functionality.

Warning: Choosing the wrong battery type to charge may damage the battery, the charger, and pose a fire risk. Please choose carefully. Do not use this product to charge batteries that do not indicate the battery type.

Glossary of battery terms explanation:

2. Number of Cells

Move the cursor to [Battery cell Number] and press [OK] to modify the number of battery cells. The display shows options like 1S, 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S. Turn [Scroll wheel] to adjust. When set to [Auto], the charger automatically recognizes the number of connected battery cells based on voltage. Short press [OK] and [Exit] to save.

Tips:

3. Mode

Move the cursor to [Mode] and press [OK] to modify the working mode. Options include Charge, DisCHG, StoCHG.

Lipo, LiHV, LiFe, Lion batteries can be charged, discharged, and stored. NiMh battery can choose charge, discharge, cycle. PB battery can choose charge and discharge. Short press [OK] and [Exit] to save.

4. Discharge Mode

When discharge, storage, or cycle mode is selected, the battery setting interface will show discharge mode options. Options include 'Inter' (Internal) and 'Recycle'.

5. Input MaxVoltage

When 'Recycle' mode is selected, the input MaxVol setting becomes available. If the input voltage reaches this setting during discharge, the discharge will stop.

Tip: Please set the input cut-off voltage within the safe voltage range of the power supply. Setting a high over-voltage may damage the input power battery.

6. End Voltage (TVC)

Move the cursor to [End Voltage] and press [OK] to modify the end voltage of the single battery. This is the charging cut-off voltage when charging, or discharge cut-off voltage when discharging. The range is +/- 50mV of the full voltage. Adjust in steps of 0.01V.

Tips:

7. Current Setting

Move the cursor to [Charge Current] or [Discharge Current] and press [OK] to modify the current. Rotate [Scroll Wheel] to adjust value and step (0.1A). Quickly scroll [Scroll Wheel] to increase/decrease rapidly. The charger supports up to 15.0A, or 25A in synchronous mode.

Tips:

8. NiMH Setting (PeakV)

When the battery type is NiMh, you can set the negative pressure value when the battery is fully charged. The range is 5mV-15mV.

Tips:

9. Cycle Setting

When the battery type is NiMh and the mode is 'cycle', the interface shows cycle times and rest time settings. Move the cursor to [Cycle times] and press [OK] to set cycle times (2-12). The charger follows a discharge->charge pattern. Move the cursor to [Rest time] and press [OK] to set the interval time (2-10 minutes).

Other Functions

  1. Firmware Upgrade: Connect the M6D to a computer via USB. The computer recognizes it as a USB disk named 'Toolkit'. Download the 'app.upg' file from the official website, copy and paste it to the USB disk to overwrite existing files and upgrade the firmware.
  2. USB 5.0V Output: In addition to firmware upgrades, the USB interface can output 2.0A to charge mobile devices.
  3. Automatically Continue to Charge and Discharge: When a battery is fully charged, unplug it, wait 2 seconds, and connect the next battery. The device will automatically continue charging/discharging. This function can be started/stopped via the menu (Continuous work mode).
  4. Fan Level: When internal temperature exceeds 45°C, the fan operates at half-speed for reduced noise. When it exceeds 53°C, the fan operates at full speed for enhanced heat dissipation.
  5. Manual Voltage Calibration: In shutdown state, press and hold [Scroll Wheel], connect power supply. The system enters manual calibration. Measure battery voltage with a voltmeter, move cursor to the corresponding voltage value, and adjust to match the voltmeter reading. After calibration, save the settings.
  6. Fully Charged: When a lithium battery is charged, it prompts "Fast charging has ended". If the battery is not removed, constant voltage trickle charging will be performed automatically to ensure the battery is more fully charged.
