This document provides detailed fitting instructions for the Nordrive FIT KIT C, a component for mounting roof bars onto a FORD Explorer vehicle. It includes a list of included parts, vehicle-specific settings, and step-by-step assembly guidance.

Installation Steps
Step 6.1: Prepare Fastening Assemblies
Prepare the fastening assemblies (Part No. 52PL0001) by inserting a tool [tool icon] and turning it clockwise, as indicated by an arrow and 'max' symbol.
Step 6.2: Attach Base Plates
Attach the base plates (Part Nos. 00G00033, 00G00034, 00G00225, 00G00226) to the vehicle's roof mounting points using the fastening assemblies (Part No. 52PL0001). Four star symbols [⭐] indicate the attachment points for each base plate.
Step 6.3: Measure Bar Spacing
Measure the distance between the two roof bars. The recommended spacing is 75.5cm.
Step 6.4: Install Front Mounting Arms
Attach the front mounting arms (Part Nos. 40FE0505 and 40FE0506) onto the corresponding base plates. Insert the screw (②) through the arm and into the base plate assembly. Tighten the screw using the provided tool (①) to a minimum torque of 3 Nm. A visual indicator [✔️] confirms correct tightening.
Step 6.5: Install Rear Mounting Arms
Attach the rear mounting arms (Part Nos. 40FE0507 and 40FE0508) onto the corresponding base plates. Insert the screw (②) through the arm and into the base plate assembly. Tighten the screw using the provided tool (①) to a minimum torque of 3 Nm. A visual indicator [✔️] confirms correct tightening.
