Front Panel
Microphone
- Google Assistant LED
- [Standby]: Switches the unit ON or OFF.
- [Function]: Selects function.
- [Volume]: Adjusts volume.
- [Play/Pause]: Play / pause.
- [Mic Mute]: Enables and disables Voice recognition. Standby and Stops feedback of Google Assistant.
Reset the Unit
Press and hold the [Play/Pause] button on the unit until you hear the beep sound once.
Rear Panel
Subwoofer Connection
Place the wireless subwoofer near the sound bar and follow these steps:
- Connect the power cord of the sound bar and the wireless subwoofer to the outlet.
- Turn on the sound bar. The sound bar and wireless subwoofer will connect automatically. The subwoofer's green LED turns on.
Manually Subwoofer Connection
If the subwoofer does not make sound, try to connect manually:
- Press [Pairing] on the rear of the wireless subwoofer. The green LED on the rear of the wireless subwoofer blinks quickly. (If the green LED does not blink, press and hold [Pairing].)
- Turn on the sound bar. Pairing is completed. The green LED on the rear of the wireless subwoofer turns on.
Connections
- [USB Port]: Connect to a USB device.
- [Optical In]: Connect to an optical device.
- [HDMI Out TV eARC/ARC]: Connect to a TV.
- [HDMI In (1) / HDMI In (2)]: Connect to a device with HDMI OUT.
Caution: Make sure to properly align and connect the optical cable; improper alignment may cause damage to the jack.
Placement Advice
Keep the sound bar and the subwoofer away from devices like wireless routers, microwave ovens, etc., by more than 1 meter (3.3 feet) to prevent wireless interference.
TV Connection
Connect the sound bar and TV using Optical (?) or HDMI ARC (?).
Optical Connection
- Connect the sound bar to the TV using an Optical cable.
- Set up [External Speaker (Optical)] on your TV's setting menu.
HDMI (TV eARC/ARC) Connection
- Connect the sound bar to the TV using an HDMI cable.
- Set up [External Speaker (HDMI ARC)] on your TV's setting menu.
Note: HDMI connection is unavailable if your TV does not support HDMI ARC. If this unit is connected by OPTICAL and ARC simultaneously, the ARC signal has a higher priority.
Additional Device Connection
Connect external devices (e.g., Set-top Box, Player) as follows:
- Connect the external device to the sound bar's HDMI IN port.
- Set the input source by pressing the [Function] button repeatedly.
Network Connection
- Check network condition. Ensure a router is connected to your network.
- Connect your smart device to your home network.
- Connect the sound bar to the power supply. Ensure all devices are connected to the same router.
Step 1. Install “Google Home” App
Download the Google Home App from the Google Play or App Store.
Step 2. Set up the Wi-Fi connection with app
- Connect your smart device to the Wi-Fi network that you will use for your unit. (For iOS devices, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device.)
- Launch the “Google Home” app.
- Follow the on-app instructions for Wi-Fi connection. When the unit is properly connected to Wi-Fi, “CONNECTED” will appear on the display window with sound.
Google Assistant Setup Notes
- Connecting to Wi-Fi may prompt you to create a Google Account. A Google account is required to use this app.
- The “Google Home” app is provided by Google and may be revised due to changes in Google Policy.
- For more information (setup, usage, help), search “Google Assistant Help” or visit https://support.google.com/assistant. This site is for devices that work with Google Assistant.
- Some functions may not be available from the “Google Assistant Help” site.
- The speaker is not compatible with the “Smart ThinQ” app and cannot be controlled using it.
Bluetooth Connection
Step 1. Connect the Wi-Fi
Ensure the unit connects to Wi-Fi using the “Google Home” app. Bluetooth function is inactive before connecting to Wi-Fi.
Step 2. Change Function
Select the Bluetooth function by pressing the [Function] button repeatedly.
Step 3. Find and Select your speaker name
Select the speaker name that was set in the “Google Home” app from the device list on your smart device. When successfully connected via Bluetooth, “PAIRED” will appear on the display window.
How to Use “Google Assistant”
Make sure the unit is connected to Wi-Fi.
Case 1. Say “Hey Google”
The Google Assistant responds to voice commands when using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth as the input. For HDMI, Optical, ARC, Optical Sound Sync, or USB inputs, you must use the [Mic Mute] button to activate the Google Assistant.

For more information on voice commands, refer to the “Google Home” app screen or visit https://support.google.com/assistant. If you encounter issues with voice recognition or this product, provide feedback by saying “Hey Google, feedback”. This helps improve Google Service quality.

Download LG Sound Bar Application
You can manage speaker settings and control the speaker using the “LG Sound Bar” app. Download it from the App Store or Google Play Store.
AI Room Calibration
AI Room Calibration is a sound tuning tool that adjusts the audio settings of the Sound Bar based on room acoustics and environment. To access AI Room Calibration, you must install the “LG Sound Bar” app. In the [Sound Setting] menu, choose [AI Room Calibration].

Button Functions
- SOUND EFFECT: Selects a sound effect mode. (TV remote: Long press SOUND EFFECT and press it again to use TV remote control.)
- [Standby]: Standby and stops feedback of Google Assistant.
- +/-: Adjusts sound level of each speaker. (Surround sound: Long press [Volume Up] and press it again.)
- [Night Time Mode]: Turns on or off the Night time mode.
- FOLDER W/S: Searches a folder.
- [Info]: Displays information of a file, an input source, a connected Bluetooth device name, or an application name.
- AUTO POWER: Automatically turns on by an input source.
- REPEAT: Listens to your files repeatedly or randomly.

How to disconnect the wireless network connection or the wireless device
Turn off the unit by pressing the power button for more than 3 seconds.
