Front Panel
Microphone:
- Google Assistant LED: Indicates Google Assistant status.
- (Standby): Switches the unit ON or OFF.
- F (Function): Selects function.
- -/+ (Volume): Adjusts volume.
- ▶ (Play/pause): Play / pause.
- (Mic mute): Enables and disables Voice recognition.
- Standby and Stops feedback of Google Assistant.
Reset the Unit
Press and hold the [power button] on the unit until you hear the beep sound once.
Rear Panel
Subwoofer Connection
Place the wireless subwoofer near the sound bar and follow steps below:
- Connect the power cord of the sound bar and the wireless subwoofer to the outlet.
- Turn on the sound bar. The sound bar and wireless subwoofer will be automatically connected. The subwoofer's green LED turns on.
Manually Subwoofer Connection
If the subwoofer does not make sound, try to connect manually:
- Press Pairing on the rear of the wireless subwoofer. The green LED on the rear of the wireless subwoofer blinks quickly. (If the green LED does not blink, press and hold the Pairing.)
- Turn on the sound bar. Pairing is completed. The green LED on the rear of the wireless subwoofer turns on.
Keep the sound bar and the subwoofer away from devices (e.g., wireless router, microwave oven) over 1 m (3.3 ft) to prevent wireless interference.
Connections
- HDMI OUT (TV eARC/ARC): Connect to a TV.
- HDMI IN: Connect to a device with HDMI OUT.
- OPTICAL IN: Connect to an optical device.
- USB port: Connect to a USB device.
Make sure to properly align and connect the optical cable; improper alignment may cause damage to the jack.
TV Connection
Connect the sound bar and TV using Optical ( ) or HDMI ARC ( ).
Optical Connection
- Connect the sound bar to the TV using an Optical cable.
- Set up [External Speaker (Optical)] on your TV setting menu.
HDMI (TV eARC/ARC) Connection
- Connect the sound bar to the TV using an HDMI cable.
- Set up [External Speaker (HDMI ARC)] on your TV setting menu.
Note: HDMI connection is unavailable if your TV does not support HDMI ARC. If this unit is connected by OPTICAL and ARC at the same time, the ARC signal has a higher priority.
Additional Device Connection
Connect to external devices as follows:
Example: Connecting a Set-top Box, Player, etc.
- Connect via HDMI OUT from the device to HDMI IN on the sound bar, or via OPTICAL OUT to OPTICAL IN.
- Set the input source by pressing F repeatedly.
Network Connection
Follow these steps to connect to your network:
- Check network condition. Ensure a router is connected to the network.
- Connect your smart device to your home network.
- Connect the sound bar to the power supply.
Note: All devices should be connected to the same router.
Step 1. Install "Google Home" App
Download the Google Home App from the Google Play or App Store.
Step 2. Set up the Wi-Fi connection with app
- Connect your smart device to the Wi-Fi network that you will use for your unit. (For iOS devices, ensure Bluetooth is turned on.)
- Launch the "Google Home" app.
- Follow the on-app instructions for Wi-Fi connection. When the unit is properly connected to Wi-Fi, "CONNECTED" will appear on the display window with sound.
How to Use "Google Assistant"
Make sure the unit is connected to Wi-Fi.
Case 1. Say "Hey Google"
Say "Hey Google" to activate the Assistant.
The Google Assistant responds to voice commands when using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth as the input. If using HDMI, Optical, ARC, Optical Sound Sync, or USB input, you must use the [Assistant button] to activate the Google Assistant.
Case 2. Press [Assistant Button]
Press the [Assistant button] on the remote control.
Bluetooth Connection
Step 1. Connect the Wi-Fi
Make sure the unit connects to Wi-Fi using the "Google Home" app. Bluetooth function is inactive before connecting to Wi-Fi.
Step 2. Change Function
Select the Bluetooth function by pressing F repeatedly.
Step 3. Find and Select your speaker name
On your smart device's Bluetooth list, select the speaker name that was set in the "Google Home" app. When successfully connected via Bluetooth, "PAIRED" will appear on the display window.

The Google Assistant can help with various tasks:

- "Tell me about my day."
- "What's my next meeting?"
- "Set a reminder to check schedule at 6pm."
Weather
- "What's the weather?"
- "What's the weather tomorrow?"
- "What's the weather in New York?"
Music
- "Play the music."
- "Next song."
- "Previous song."
- "Pause the music"
Availability
- "How many calories in a hot dog?"
- "How do I get to Ocean Beach?"
- "How do you say hello in Korean?"
- "Talk to Best Jokes."
Internet
- "What movies are showing this weekend?"
- "Why is the sky blue?"
- "What is the smallest country in Europe?"
- "How much sugar is there in a Coke?"
Subscriptions
- "What are the latest headlines?"
- "Play Time's The Brief."
Smart Home
- "Turn up the thermostat."
- "Set the thermostat to 22 degrees"
- "Dim the lights in the kitchen."
- "Is the light on in the living room?"

Comfortable Function
With the Google Assistant built-in, control compatible smart home devices (TVs, lights, switches, plugs, thermostats, etc.) using your voice.

Download LG Sound Bar Application
Manage speaker settings and control the speaker using the "LG Sound Bar" app. Download it from the App Store or Google Play Store.
AI Room Calibration
AI Room Calibration is a sound tuning tool that adjusts audio settings based on room acoustics. To access it, install the "LG Sound Bar" app and select [AI Room Calibration] from the [Sound Setting] menu.
Remote Control
Replacement of Battery
Illustrates battery replacement for the remote control.
Button Functions
- SOUND EFFECT: Selects a sound effect mode.
- TV remote: Long press SOUND EFFECT and press it again to use TV remote control.
- [Standby/Google Assistant button]: Standby and Stops feedback of Google Assistant.
- [Volume +/- buttons]: Adjusts sound level of each speaker.
- Surround sound: Long press [Volume +] and press it again.
- [Night time mode button]: Turns on or off the Night time mode.
- FOLDER W/S: Searches a folder.
- [Info button]: Displays file information, input source, connected Bluetooth device name, or application name.
- AUTO POWER: Automatically turns on by an input source.
- REPEAT: Listens to your files repeatedly or randomly.

Warning
[For products using 5 GHz frequency bands]
- Operation in the 5150-5250 MHz band is for indoor use only to reduce potential interference to co-channel mobile satellite systems.
- For devices with detachable antennas, maximum antenna gain must comply with e.i.r.p. limits for bands 5250-5350 MHz, 5470-5725 MHz, and 5725-5850 MHz.
- For devices operating in the 5250-5350 MHz band with e.i.r.p. greater than 200 mW, antenna type, model, and worst-case tilt angle must be clearly indicated to remain compliant with elevation mask requirements.
