Bluetooth Pairing
To connect your device to the JBL Xtreme 3:
- Turn on the speaker.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until the indicator light flashes blue.
- On your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), go to Settings and select Bluetooth.
- Choose "JBL Xtreme 3" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the indicator light will turn solid blue.
Playback Controls
Control your music directly from the speaker:
- Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button.
- Volume Up/Down: Use the Volume + / - buttons.
- Next Track: Press and hold the Volume Up button.
- Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume Down button.
- PartyBoost: Press the PartyBoost button to connect multiple compatible JBL speakers for an amplified sound experience. [PartyBoost]
Battery Status
The speaker indicates its battery level using LED lights. The display shows approximate charge levels:
- 100%
- 50%
- 20%
JBL Portable App
Enhance your speaker experience by using the JBL Portable app. Download it to configure your speaker settings and perform software upgrades.

Charging
Connect the provided USB-C cable to the speaker and a power source. The charging indicator will show the battery status.
To charge the speaker, connect the USB-C cable. The charging indicator will display the battery level.
Battery Life and Care
The JBL Xtreme 3 offers up to 15 hours of music playtime, dependent on volume level and audio content.
To protect battery lifespan: Fully charge the speaker at least once every 3 months. Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions.
Important Precautions:
- Do not expose the JBL Xtreme 3 to liquids without removing cable connections.
- Do not expose the JBL Xtreme 3 to water while charging.
- After a liquid spill, do not charge the speaker until it is completely dry and clean. Charging when wet may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source.
- When using an external adapter or USB-C cable, the speaker performance may be affected during charging.
Water and Dust Resistance
The JBL Xtreme 3 is rated IP67, meaning it is dustproof and can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. ?
