Back View
The back of the unit features mounting holes for wall hanging and a foldout easel stand for table standing. It also contains the battery compartment.
Button View
The front of the clock has the following buttons:
- SET: Used to enter setup mode and confirm settings.
- ALM: Used to set and activate/deactivate the alarm.
- +: Increases setting values.
- - / ℉/℃: Decreases setting values and toggles temperature units between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- SNZ: Snooze button for the alarm.
Install Battery
- Insert 1 new "AA", 1.5 volt ALKALINE battery into the battery compartment, observing the polarity markings (+/-).
- Upon proper installation, the unit will beep, and all LCD segments will briefly light up. The indoor temperature and time (initially displayed as 12:00) will appear.
- If the time and temperature do not appear after 30 seconds, remove and reinsert the battery.
Set the Time and Date
Follow these steps to configure your clock. Press the SET button to move between steps. If you need to restart the process, wait approximately 30 seconds for the display to stop flashing, then repeat the steps.
Note: The "+" button increases setting values, and the "- / ℉/℃" button decreases them.
- Enter Setup Mode: Press and hold the SET button for about 3 seconds until the clock beeps. The display will flash "12 Hr" (indicating 12-hour time mode).
- Set 12 or 24 Hour Time Mode: With "12 Hr" flashing, press the "+" or "- / ℉/℃" button to select either 12-hour or 24-hour format.
- Set Time - Hour: Press SET. The Hour digits will flash. Use the "+" and "- / ℉/℃" buttons to select the correct hour.
- Set Time - Minute: Press SET. The Minute digits will flash. Use the "+" and "- / ℉/℃" buttons to select the correct minute.
- Set Date - Year: Press SET. The Year digits will flash. Use the "+" and "- / ℉/℃" buttons to select the correct year.
- Set Date - Month: Press SET. The Month digits will flash. Use the "+" and "- / ℉/℃" buttons to select the correct month.
- Set Date - Date: Press SET. The Date digits will flash. Use the "+" and "- / ℉/℃" buttons to select the correct date.
To Change the Temperature Units
To switch between Fahrenheit (℉) and Celsius (℃) for the indoor temperature reading, press the "- / ℉/℃" button.
To Set the Time Alarm
- Turn Alarm On: Press the "ALARM" button. The alarm icon ⏰ will appear on the LCD.
- Set Alarm Time - Hour: Press and hold the "ALARM" button for 3 seconds until the hour digits flash. Use the "+" button to set the hour. Press "ALARM" to confirm and move to setting minutes.
- Set Alarm Time - Minutes: The Minute digits will flash. Use the "+" button to set the minutes. Holding the "+" button allows for faster five-minute increments. Press "ALARM" to confirm minutes and end the setting procedure.
- Activate or Deactivate Daily Alarm: Briefly press the "ALARM" button once. The alarm icon ⏰ will display when active and will not display when deactivated.
- About the Time Alarm: After 15 seconds of inactivity, the clock automatically returns to normal clock mode from alarm setting mode.
To Use The Alarm
The alarm can be silenced by pressing any button. If not silenced, it will sound for 2 minutes before stopping automatically. The alarm will repeat automatically after 24 hours.
If the snooze button (SNZ) is pressed, the alarm will silence for approximately 5 minutes before sounding again.
The alarm features 3 different tone patterns, starting gently and increasing in intensity, known as a "Crescendo Alarm".
Battery Replacement Information
To replace the battery:
- Lift the battery compartment cover and remove the old battery.
- Insert a new "AA" 1.5 volt ALKALINE battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. The battery may fit tightly; ensure it is seated correctly to avoid start-up issues.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
Please help keep our environment clean. ♻️ Take any used batteries to an authorized depot for recycling.
Mounting the Unit
The clock can be placed on a table or mounted on a wall.
Table Standing
An easel-type foldout stand is located on the bottom of the back side of the clock. Pull the easel out from the bottom to open it.
Wall Mounting
Select a suitable location. Install a mounting screw (not included). Align the hanging hole on the clock with the mounting screw and ensure the clock locks securely into place before releasing it.

Care and Maintenance
Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, vibration, and shock, as these can cause damage and lead to inaccurate readings.
Take precautions when handling batteries. Injuries, burns, or property damage may occur if batteries come into contact with conducting materials, heat, corrosive materials, or explosives. Remove batteries from the unit if it will be stored for a long period.
Immediately remove any low-power batteries to prevent leakage and damage. Replace only with new batteries of the recommended type.
When cleaning the display and casings, use only a soft, damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents, as they may scratch the LCD and casings.
Do not submerge the unit in water. Ensure all parts are protected against moisture and rain.
Handle a damaged LCD display with special care, as the liquid crystals can be harmful to health.
Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Contact the La Crosse Technology Warranty Department for assistance. Opening or tampering with the unit may void the warranty.
Never touch exposed electronic circuits, as there is a risk of electric shock.
Avoid exposing the unit to extreme and sudden temperature changes, which may reduce its accuracy.
Troubleshooting
Battery Issues
Battery problems are the most common cause of customer support inquiries. Check the following:
- Use a fresh battery: Use a plain Alkaline battery that tests no less than 1.48V on a voltmeter or has an expiration date at least 7 years in the future.
- Ensure correct polarity: Verify that the fresh battery is installed with the correct polarity (+/-) as shown inside the battery compartment.
Warranty Information
La Crosse Technology, Ltd provides a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty begins on the original date of purchase and is valid only for products purchased and used in North America by the original purchaser.
To receive warranty service, contact La Crosse Technology, Ltd for problem determination and service procedures. Warranty service must be performed by an authorized La Crosse Technology, Ltd service center. The original dated bill of sale is required as proof of purchase.
La Crosse Technology, Ltd will repair or replace defective products with new or reconditioned parts or products. Replaced parts and products become the property of La Crosse Technology, Ltd. The warranty for replacement parts/products is the remainder of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.
La Crosse Technology, Ltd covers labor and materials for covered repairs. If repairs are not covered or the product is found not to need repair, charges may apply. The owner is responsible for shipping costs to an authorized service center; La Crosse Technology, Ltd will cover ground return shipping within the USA.
Warranty Exclusions: This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship but excludes:
- Damage from accident, unreasonable use, neglect, or lack of maintenance.
- Damage during shipment (claims must be presented to the carrier).
- Damage to or deterioration of accessory or decorative surfaces.
- Damage from failure to follow owner's manual instructions.
- Damage from repairs or alterations by unauthorized personnel.
- Units used for non-home use or unintended applications.
- Inability to receive a signal due to interference.
The warranty covers actual product defects and does not cover installation/removal costs, setup adjustments, claims based on seller misrepresentation, or performance variations due to installation.
