Getting Started & Features

Battery Installation

The optical mouse requires two AA batteries (not included).

  1. Open the battery cover.
  2. Insert the batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) alignment with the markings.
  3. Close the battery cover.
  4. Switch on the mouse using the power switch located underneath. The red LED indicator at the top will flash.

Note: Ensure correct battery polarity for proper function.

Receiver Connection

Take out the USB Nano receiver and plug it into a free USB port on your computer. Your system's Plug & Play function will automatically detect and install the device.

Note: The receiver can be stored in the battery compartment when not in use.

30-Month Battery Life

The mouse is designed for low power consumption, offering up to 30 months of battery life with typical usage. Actual battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions.

Intelligent Power Saving (IPS)

The mouse features an Intelligent Power Saving (IPS) function to conserve battery:

  • The mouse automatically powers off when the USB Nano receiver is disconnected or the PC is switched off.
  • After 10 seconds of inactivity, the mouse enters IPS Level 1. Click any button to wake it.
  • After 8 minutes of inactivity, the mouse enters IPS Level 2 (sleep mode). Click any button to wake it.

DPI Switching

Adjust the mouse sensitivity with six DPI levels:

  • Available DPI: 800/1200/1600/2400/3200/4800DPI.
  • Default DPI: 1200DPI.
  • Press the DPI button to cycle through DPI levels. The LED indicator will flash to confirm the change (e.g., three times for the first increase).

Low Battery Indicator ?

When the battery power is low, the indicator light located under the scroll wheel will flash. Please replace the batteries.

Recommendation: Use AA alkaline dry cell batteries.

Troubleshooting (FAQ)

  1. Mouse not working:
    • Verify correct battery polarity (+/-) alignment.
    • Ensure batteries are not discharged; try reinserting them.
    • Disable your computer's power management features.
    • Confirm the Nano receiver is securely plugged into the USB port.
    • If issues persist, try reconnecting the receiver and ensure the mouse is within the optimal operating distance (1.5m) from the receiver.
  2. USB Nano receiver recognized, but cursor does not move:
    • Check if the low battery indicator is lit. If the sensor light is on, batteries may be discharged; replace them.
    • If replacing batteries doesn't help, ensure the mouse is properly connected to the receiver. Try reconnecting and verify the mouse is within the optimal operating distance (1.5m) from the USB Nano receiver.

Shenzhen Unichain Technology Co., LTD. (Manufacturer: "Unichain") warrants the original purchaser of this TECKNET product that the product shall be free of defects in design, assembly, material, or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

Unichain will repair or replace, at its option, any defective product free of charge (except for shipping charges for the product).
