LESSON 1: Introduction

1.1 Introduction of IP-Camera Super Client

IP-Camera Super Client is a software application designed for multiple camera monitoring. It offers features such as multi-camera monitoring, PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) control, recording, alarm management, and access authority management. The software is characterized by its ease of operation and strong capability.

Function List:

  • Supports monitoring of up to 81 videos in one area.
  • Supports continuous, scheduled, and alarm recording, as well as alarm snapshots.
  • Supports multiple languages, including Chinese, Chinese (Traditional), English, Spanish, French, and Japanese.
  • Supports inquiry and browsing of alarm records and operation records.
  • Supports playback of video saved on the current PC.
  • Supports motion detection alarming.
  • Supports manual or automatic paging.

LESSON 2: Installation

2.1 The procedure of installation

The installation process involves a setup wizard. Users will first select the installation language. The wizard then presents a license agreement that must be accepted to proceed. The user is prompted to choose a destination location for the installation and a Start Menu folder for program shortcuts. During installation, users may encounter notifications and should choose the "Allow" option if prompted.

2.2 Setting path to save recordings

To configure where recordings are saved:

  1. Press the "Options" button on the main interface.
  2. In the "System Options" dialog, navigate to the "Storage" tab.
  3. Under "Path to save recordings," you can add or delete paths. Multiple paths can be added, and the software will automatically use the next available path when the current one is full.

2.3 To make the IP-Camera Super Client autorun

To configure the software to start automatically with the system:

  1. Open "System Options" and select the "Autorun" tab.
  2. Check the "Launch the program automatically when the system starts" option.
  3. Users can also choose to minimize the program to the system tray on launch and connect all cameras upon program launch.

LESSON 3: Introduction of main interface

3.1 The Origin interface

The main interface, referred to as the "Origin interface," displays the video feeds from connected IP cameras. It typically shows multiple video panes and control buttons for managing the cameras and the software.

3.2 The main menus

The main interface is organized into several key areas:

  • Cameras List: A tree-structure list that displays connected IP cameras and groups. Users can right-click to connect/disconnect groups or specific cameras, and make unique settings for individual cameras. Double-clicking a camera connects to it.
  • Function Area: This area controls the screen display. Users can select to view one video, or multiple videos in configurations of 4, 9, 16, 25, 64, or 81 screens. Full-screen viewing is also supported. For more than 81 cameras, paging functionality allows users to navigate through camera feeds. Automatic paging is also an option.
  • Global Control: This section provides functions to connect and disconnect all IP cameras, manage videos, alarms, and system settings.
  • Running status and control menu: This menu provides access to alarming information and settings, recording information and settings, manual snapshot functionality, and camera settings.

LESSON 4: Instruction Guide

4.1 Add a new Camera

To add a new IP camera to the system:

  1. From the "Origin interface," press the "Add Camera" button.
  2. In the subsequent dialog, press the "Find" button to search for online cameras on the local area network.
  3. The "Camera Finder in LAN" dialog will display found cameras. Select the desired camera's UID.
  4. In the "Add Camera" dialog, input the camera's password. The default password is "888888."
  5. Double-click the added IP-Camera in the list to view its live video feed.

4.2 Record video

4.2.1 Settings on recording video

To configure video recording:

  1. Press the "Record" label on the main interface.
  2. Check the "Enable recording" option. The recording time can be set manually according to your requirements.
  3. Users can choose between "Continuous recording" or "Scheduled recording." For scheduled recording, a "Recording Schedule Setup" dialog allows users to define days, start times, and end times for recording.

4.2.2 Check videos

To review recorded video footage:

  1. Press the "Video" label on the main interface.
  2. The "Video record" interface allows users to search all recorded videos or search by specific dates.

4.3 Alarming settings

4.3.1 Motion detection settings

To configure motion detection and alarms:

  1. Right-click on a camera in the "Cameras List" and select "Camera Options" from the pop-out menu.
  2. Press the "Camera parameters" button.
  3. Press the "Get" button to retrieve current camera settings.
  4. Adjust the "Motion detection sensitivity" based on the environment (smaller values are more sensitive).
  5. Navigate to the "Alarming" item and check "Enable Alarm."
  6. Add an alarm schedule by selecting days, start time, and end time. Choose "Motion Detection" as the trigger. When a trigger occurs, select the desired reaction from the "Action" list (e.g., sound, email, video record).

4.3.2 Check alarm records

To review recorded alarm events:

  1. Click the "Alarm" button on the main interface.

4.4 WIFI settings

To configure the camera's WiFi connection:

  1. Press "Camera option" from the camera's context menu, then press the "Set WiFi" label.
  2. Press the "Search signals" button to scan for available WiFi networks.
  3. From the displayed list of SSIDs, choose the desired WiFi network.
  4. Press "Set" and input the WiFi password in the pop-out dialog to connect.
