1. Safety Precautions

Please read the following safety precautions carefully before use.

  1. The ES09 is intended for adult use only. Do not carry passengers, including children.

  3. Adhere to local laws and regulations. Do not ride in unsafe or illegal locations.
  4. Practice riding the ES09 in an open area first, away from heavy traffic. Once familiar with operation, you may use it on roads, respecting local laws.
  5. Avoid dangerous maneuvers and always ride with both hands on the handlebars. Keep your feet on the scooter.

  7. For safety, do not ride at night if possible. If necessary, turn on the headlight and keep speed below 15 km/h.

  9. On uneven roads or poor road conditions, reduce speed, ride cautiously, or dismount and push the scooter.

  15. The ES09 is a specialized vehicle. Ride on flat roads without pits.
  16. Do not attach any load to the handlebar that could affect the vehicle's stability.

  21. Take time to learn the basics of riding to avoid serious accidents, especially in the first month.

  25. Caution: The brake may become hot during use. Do not touch it immediately after use.
  26. Eliminate any sharp edges caused by use. Do not modify or transform the vehicle, including the steering tube, stem, folding mechanism, or rear brake.

4. Scooter Assembly

Important Notes Before Riding:

  1. Press the power key to turn on the scooter.
  2. For safety, the ES09 has a non-zero start setting. You need to slide the scooter to 3 km/h for normal operation.
  3. The scooter can be turned on and pushed, but cannot be ridden in walking mode.
  4. The scooter cannot be started while charging.
  5. Do not discard the manual; refer to it for specific operations.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Unfold the folding mechanism of the ES09 and put down the kickstand. [Diagram: Unfolding the scooter]

  3. Use the tools included in the package to tighten the screws. [Diagram: Tightening screws]

5. Unfolding/Folding/Carrying

1. Unfolding Operations

  1. Turn the folding clip clockwise until it is fully open. [Diagram: Step 1 of unfolding]

  3. Turn the folder clockwise until it is fully snapped. [Diagram: Step 3 of unfolding]

2. Folding Operations

Note: For safety, it is recommended to fold the scooter after it is shut down.

3. About Carrying

After folding, you can carry the scooter with one or two hands.

4. About Charging

6. Riding and Parking

Preparation for Riding

  1. Select an appropriate riding place.
  2. Unfold the scooter according to the unfolding instructions and wear protective equipment. [Image: Person wearing helmet and pads]
  3. Ensure the steering system is correctly adjusted, all connection elements (like the folding system) are tightened and not broken, and brakes and wheels are in good condition.

Riding

  1. Press the power button to turn on the scooter.
  2. Place one foot on the footboard and the other on the ground.
  3. Slide the scooter forward to 3 km/h and gently press the right thumb accelerator. The scooter will move forward slowly. Once steady, place your other foot on the footboard. The more you press the accelerator, the higher the speed.

Note: For riding safety, the ES09 has a non-zero start mode. The accelerator only engages after the scooter has moved a short distance.

Parking

Normally, the scooter stops immediately when you press the left brake lever. The harder you press, the greater the braking force. [Image: Hand pressing brake lever]

7. Control System

  • Disc brake: Hold the left brake handle. Greater pressure equals greater braking force.
  • Bell: [Bell Symbol]
  • Turn Signal: Controls for left and right turn signals.
  • Thumb throttle: Controls acceleration.
  • Power Button: Short press to turn on, long press for 2s to turn off. Press once for headlight. Double press to switch gear mode. Press five times continuously to switch speed unit.

Turn Signal Control

Short press the left/right button to turn the respective turn signal on/off. Press and hold the left or right button for 3 seconds to activate the flash function. Press the left or right button again to deactivate the flash function.

8. Indication Description

LED Headlight Status Indication

Brief Use Instructions

When the scooter is powered off, briefly press the Power switch to turn it on. When operating, long press the Power switch to turn it off. Click the switch key to turn the front lights on/off. Double press the Power switch to switch gears (Work, ECO, D, S modes). The scooter saves the last selected gear.

9. Troubleshooting

If there is any abnormal issue with the scooter, the warning indicator will flash, displaying error codes 4-55.

16Motor Hall anomalyBOOT failure. Check if the motor Hall wiring is normal. If braking issues occur, check or replace the motor or controller.

10. About Charging

To charge:

1. Remove the rubber protective cover and insert the charger connector into the charging port.

2. Insert the charger's power plug into a power socket.

3. The charger indicator is red while charging and turns green when fully charged.

4. The vehicle must be powered off or in a non-operational mode during charging.

11. About the Battery and Charger

Each ES09 electric scooter comes with a dedicated lithium battery and smart charger. Do not use chargers from other brands. The company is not liable for damage caused by improper use.

Battery

The lithium battery supports at least 800 recharge cycles, and over 1,000 times under normal conditions. Fully charge the battery before first use. It can be charged anytime without damage. If not in use for extended periods, charge it every 3 months.

12. Operating Temperature

Charging: 0 °C to 45 °C

Discharging: -10 °C to 60 °C

Charger

The provided charger has protection and automatically shuts off at 100% charge. Charging time is approximately 4-5 hours. Damage from water, collision, or other factors is not covered by warranty.

Charging Instructions

  1. Open the rubber cover and insert the plug into the port.
  2. Insert the charger plug into the electrical outlet.
  3. The indicator lamp is red when charging and green when fully charged.
  4. Shut down the scooter and keep it away from water before charging.
  5. Use only the specified charger.
  6. Warning: Be careful to avoid electric shock.

Kinetic Energy Recovery

Pressing the brake activates the kinetic energy recovery system, converting kinetic energy into electrical energy for storage. This enhances emergency braking and increases range. Power changes are displayed simultaneously.

13. App Descriptions

App Manual Operation

The App UI may change with updates. Follow instructions based on the current version.

  1. Scan the QR code or search "5thWheel" in your mobile app store to download and install the App. [QR Code for App Download]

If you have installed our App, please ensure it is the latest version.

If scanning fails, ensure Bluetooth and the scooter are on, then try again.

14. Maintenance

Lubrication

Apply a small amount of white grease or lubricant to the folded part every six months. Check screws for looseness every three months and tighten as needed.

Battery

Fully charge the battery before first use. It can be charged anytime. If not in use, charge every three months.

Storage and Daily Maintenance

Avoid direct sunlight and humid conditions for extended periods. Keep the scooter clean. Regularly check and tighten bolted elements, especially wheel axles, folding mechanism, steering system, and brake shaft.

Cleaning Recommendations

Wipe stains with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use toothpaste and a toothbrush, then wipe clean. Do not use solvents like alcohol or gasoline. Do not use a high-pressure washer. Ensure the scooter is off, unplugged, and the charging port flap is closed during cleaning to prevent electric shock or other issues.

Routine Inspection

  1. Before riding, confirm the folding mechanism is locked.
  2. Check tires for excessive wear. Contact an authorized dealer for replacement if needed.
  3. Verify tire pressure is at the standard value. Inflate if too low.
  4. Inspect brake pads for wear that affects braking performance. Contact an authorized dealer if issues arise.
  5. Screws are self-tightening; their effectiveness may decrease after multiple tightenings.

15. Common Problems and Solutions

If you encounter any problems, try the following solutions:

1. Display Screen is Black

Possible Cause: Prolonged sun exposure.

Solution: Place the scooter in a dark environment for a period; the display should return to normal.

2. Displayed Value is Inconsistent

Possible Cause: Parameter setting is incorrect or missing.

Solution: Long press the Power switch to shut down, then short press to restart.

3. Digital Display is Dim

Possible Cause: Loose battery connection or low battery.

Solution: Turn off and restart the scooter. If the problem persists, contact customer service at aftersales@invanti.com.

4. Product Does Not Work Normally

  1. Ensure the scooter is powered on.
  2. Check battery level on the display.
  3. Verify the left brake and rear brake are engaged.
  4. Confirm all ports and power cables are connected correctly.
  5. If all steps are checked and the product still malfunctions, contact customer service at aftersales@invanti.com.

EU Battery Recycling Information

Batteries are marked per European Directive 2006/66/EC and amendment 2013/56/EU. This directive covers the recycling framework for waste batteries and accumulators across the EU.
