Installation
Wireless Sensor Installation
The wireless sensor measures wind-speed, wind-direction, rainfall, temperature, and humidity. It comes fully assembled and calibrated for easy installation.
Battery and Installation
Unscrew the battery door at the bottom of the unit and insert batteries according to the "+/-" polarity indicated. Screw the battery door compartment on tightly.
Note: Ensure the water-tight O-ring is properly aligned to ensure water resistance. The red LED will begin flashing every 12 seconds.
Assemble the Stand and Pole
Step 1: Insert the top side of the pole into the square hole of the weather sensor. Ensure the pole and sensor's indicator align.
Step 2: Place the nut in the hexagon hole on the sensor, then insert the screw in the other side and tighten it with a screwdriver.
Step 3: Insert the other side of the pole into the square hole of the plastic stand. Ensure the pole and stand's indicator align.
Step 4: Place the nut in the hexagon hole of the stand, then insert the screw in the other side and tighten it with a screwdriver.
Sensor Placement
Install the wireless sensor in an open location with no obstructions above and around it for accurate rain and wind measurement. Install the sensor with the smaller end facing North to properly orient the wind direction vane (or South if located in the Southern Hemisphere). Secure the mounting stand and bracket to a post or pole, allowing a minimum of 1.5 meters off the ground.
Mounting Guidelines:
- Install the wireless sensor at least 1.5m off the ground for better and more accurate wind measurements.
- Choose an open area within 150 meters from the LCD display Main Unit.
- Install the wireless sensor as level as possible to achieve accurate rain and wind measurements. A bubble level device is provided.
- Mount the wireless sensor with the wind meter end pointing North (or South in the Southern Hemisphere) to correctly orient the wind vane.
Mounting options include mounting on a pole (diameter 1"~1.3" or 25~33mm) or mounting on a railing.
LCD Monitor Stand and Batteries Installation
The unit is designed for desktop or wall mounting.
- Remove the battery door of the main unit.
- Insert 3 new AA size batteries according to the "+/-" polarity mark.
- Replace the battery door.
- Upon battery insertion, all LCD segments will briefly display.
Note: If no display appears after inserting batteries, press the RESET button with a pointed object.
Pairing of Wireless Sensor with LCD Monitor
After battery insertion, the Display Main Unit will automatically search and connect to the wireless 5-in-1 sensor (indicated by a blinking antenna). Once connected, the antenna mark and outdoor readings (temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall) will appear on the display.
Changing Batteries and Manual Pairing
If batteries are changed in the wireless 5-in-1 sensor, manual pairing is required:
- Install new batteries in the sensor.
- Press and hold the [SCAN] button for 2 seconds.
- Press the [RESET] button on the sensor.
Notes:
- Pressing the [RESET] button on the sensor generates a new code for pairing.
- Always dispose of old batteries in an environmentally safe manner.

Weather Forecast
The device uses a built-in pressure sensor and sophisticated software to predict weather for the next 12-24 hours within a 30-50km (19-31 miles) radius. Forecast accuracy is approximately 70-75%. The "Snowy" forecast is based on outdoor temperature falling below -3°C (26°F).
Weather forecast icons include: Sunny/Clear, Slightly Cloudy, Cloudy, Rainy, Rainy/Stormy, Snowy.
Barometric / Atmospheric Pressure
Atmospheric pressure is the Earth's air column weight. Changes in pressure significantly affect weather, allowing for forecasting. The barometer measures these changes.
To Select Display Mode:
Press and hold [BARO] for 2 seconds to toggle between:
- ABSOLUTE: The absolute atmospheric pressure of your location.
- RELATIVE: The relative atmospheric pressure based on sea level.
To Set Relative Atmospheric Pressure Value:

- Press [BARO] to save and exit.
Notes:
- The default relative pressure is 1013 mb/hPa (29.91 inHg).
- Changing the relative pressure value affects weather indicators.
- The barometer detects environmental pressure changes, predicting weather for the next 12 hours. Indicators update based on detected absolute pressure after about 1 hour of operation.
- Relative pressure is sea-level based but changes with absolute pressure after 1 hour.

- Press [ALERT] to continue to the next setting.
Notes:
- The unit exits setting mode automatically after 5 seconds of inactivity.
- When an ALERT alarm is active, the triggering area and alert type will flash, and the alarm will sound for 2 minutes.
- To silence the alert alarm, press the [SNOOZE / LIGHT] or [ALARM] button, or allow it to turn off automatically after 2 minutes.
Wireless Signal Reception
The sensor transmits data wirelessly over an approximate range of 150m (line of sight). Signal strength can be affected by physical obstructions or environmental interference.
Signal status indicators include: No sensor, Signal searching, Strong signal, Weak signal, Signal lost.
If the sensor signal is lost completely, relocate the Display main unit or the wireless sensor.
Temperature & Humidity
Comfort Indication
The comfort indication provides a visual cue based on indoor air temperature and humidity to determine the comfort level.
Indicators: Too cold / too dry, Comfortable, Too warm / too humid.
Notes:
- Comfort indication can vary based on humidity levels at the same temperature.
- No comfort indication is shown when the temperature is below 0°C (32°F) or above 60°C (140°F).
Data Clearing
During installation, sensors might trigger erroneous measurements. After installation, you can clear this data from the Display Main Unit without resetting the clock or re-establishing pairing. Press and hold the [HISTORY] button for 10 seconds to clear all recorded data prior to that point.
Pointing Sensor to the South
The outdoor sensor is calibrated to point North by default. For users in the Southern Hemisphere (e.g., Australia, New Zealand), the sensor can be oriented to point South.
- Install the outdoor sensor with its arrow pointing South.
- On the Display main unit, press and hold [WIND] for 8 seconds until the Northern Hemisphere compass lights up and blinks.
- Use [UP]/[DOWN] to switch to the Southern Hemisphere setting (lower part of the compass).
- Press [WIND] to confirm and exit.
Note: Changing the hemisphere setting automatically adjusts the moon phase display direction.
