2. Mounting
Follow these steps for mounting the device:

- Do not install the device and cabling near strong electro-magnetic fields (e.g., radio-transmitting antennas).
- Avoid placing the device near or above heating equipment.
- For cleaning, use a smooth cloth or towel; do not spray or splash water or cleaning liquids.
- Supervise children to prevent them from touching the device.
- Using detergents, benzene, or thinner for cleaning the sensor can damage the surface and prevent fingerprint entry.
- The product operates between 0°C - +50°C. XPRT™ is not responsible for functionality if these guidelines are not followed.
3. Reset Reader to Default
To reset the reader to its default settings:
- Turn the device OFF.
- Set dipswitch 1 to the ON position.
- Turn the power ON.
- Wait approximately 15 seconds until continuous beeps are heard.
- Set dipswitch 1 back to the OFF position.
- Wait for a long beep, indicating the reset is complete.
This procedure will delete passwords, unpair users, and reset the reader to factory defaults. Unpairing prevents unauthorized access and maintains high security.
4. Wiring and Pairing
The reader can be wired and paired with four types of remote relay units: RU2, RU1, DINRTT, and RTT.
Diagram illustrating the different remote relay units: RU2 (2 Relay Remote Unit), DINRTT (2 Relay Remote Unit and request-to-exit Button), RU1 (1 Relay Remote Unit), and RTT (1 Relay Remote Unit and request-to-exit Button). It also shows connections for Power Supply (+12V, GND), Wiegand (DO, D1), RS-485 (A, B), and Tamper.
4.1 Wiring and pairing B100P-BT-EH-SA + RU1
Pairing the reader with a remote relay unit (e.g., RU1) is essential for high security and is done from the remote relay unit itself. Once paired, devices cannot be switched, ensuring the reader works exclusively with its paired unit.
Wiring diagram showing connections between the B100P-BT-EH-SA reader and RU1 remote relay unit. It details power (+12V, GND), Wiegand (DO, D1), RS-485 (A, B), and Tamper connections. A note indicates that keeping a button pressed for at least 5 seconds will pair the units.
Other pairing devices:
Device | Description | Relays |
---|---|---|
RU2 | DIN rail mount remote relay unit | 2 |
DINRTT | Flush mount sensitive push button and remote relay | 2 |
RTT | Surface mount sensitive push button and remote relay | 1 |
4.2 Wiring B100P-BT-EH-SA to Wiegand Controller
The reader can be connected to a Wiegand controller. By default, it is set to Wiegand 26-bit, but this can be configured to 24, 26, 32, 34, 56, or 58 bits using the software.
