Physical Interfaces
Front Panel
The front panel of the DS-3E2510P features various indicators and ports for network connectivity and management. The layout includes:
- PWR (Power Indicator): Indicates if the switch is powered on.
- RESET: Button to restore the switch to its default settings.
- SYS (System Indicator): Shows the system status; solid light indicates startup, flickering indicates normal operation.
- PoE Indicator: For each port, indicates if PoE functionality is active (solid light) or inactive (off).
- Lnk/Act (Link/Activity Indicator): For each port, a green light signifies 10/100M transmission, a red light signifies 1000M transmission, and no light indicates no signal.
- 8 RJ45 Interfaces: These are 10/100/1000Base-T ports that support PoE and forward Ethernet electrical signals.
- Console Port: Used for local switch management.
- 2 SFP Ports: These ports are for gigabit Ethernet optical signal transmission.
