- Operate only from the power source specified on the unit.
- Avoid damaging the AC plug and power cord.
- Avoid improper installation and never position the unit where good ventilation is unattainable.
- Do not allow objects or liquid into the cabinet openings.
- In the event of trouble, unplug the unit and call a service technician. Do not attempt to repair it yourself or remove the rear cover.
Changes or modifications not approved by JVC could void the warranty.
- When you don't use this TV set for a long period of time, be sure to disconnect both the power plug from the AC outlet and antenna for your safety.
- To prevent electric shock do not use this power plug with an extension cord, receptacle or other outlet unless the blades can be fully inserted to prevent blade exposure.
Caution: To prevent electrical shock, do not open the TV casing. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Please refer to qualified service personnel for repairs.
- Clean only with dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains etc. There must be a minimum distance of 5cm clear space around the unit at all times to ensure proper ventilation.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. No naked flame sources, such as lit candles, should be placed on or near the unit.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- Apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on the apparatus.
- Place the television on a stable, flat surface. Failure to do so can result in the television falling, causing injury.
- Do not allow young children to play around or on the television. Do not hang from the unit. Failure to do so can result in the television falling, causing injury.
- Do not allow young children to play with the plastic bag that came with the television when you unpacked it. Failure to do so can result in suffocation, which may lead to death.
- Avoid improper installation and never position the unit where good ventilation is impossible. When installing this unit, distance recommendations must be maintained between the set and the wall, as well as inside a tightly enclosed area or piece of furniture. Keep to the minimum distance guidelines shown for safe operation.
- Cautions for installation
- Do not tilt the unit towards the left or right, or towards the back.
- Ensure the power cord is out of the path of foot traffic.
- The unit will generate a slight amount of heat during operation. Ensure that sufficient space is available around the unit to allow satisfactory cooling.
- Have two people remove the unit from the box with the screen facing away from you. It's possible your clothing, (such as a belt buckle or button) may scratch the front of the unit. Do the same when moving the unit to another location.
- Make enough room for inserting and removing the power plug. Place the unit as close to the outlet as possible. The main power supply for this unit is controlled by inserting or removing the power plug. Physically disconnecting the power plug is the only way to completely disconnect the unit from the mains power source.
- Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. To preserve our environment, dispose of used batteries according to your local laws or regulations.
- When this unit is connected to the wall outlet, it is always on standby even when all the LED lamps are not lit. To shut down the unit, unplug the unit from the wall outlet.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced before further use by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Always place the TV on furniture that can safely support the TV. Make sure the ends of the TV do not overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.
- Do not place the TV on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the TV to a wall or other suitably strong support.
- Do not stand the TV on cloth or other materials placed between the TV and the supporting furniture.
- Where the mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
- Water and moisture: Do not use the product near water, for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool, etc.
- Never place a television set in an unstable location. A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as:
- Using cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer of the television set.
- Only using furniture that can safely support the television set.
- Ensuring the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
- Not placing the television set on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support.
- Not placing the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.
- Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls.
Base Installation
Important: The TV stand must be installed correctly before using the TV, unless the TV is wall-mounted. Incorrect installation can result in damage or injury due to tip-over.
Note:
- Make sure the AC cord is not connected to the power outlet.
- Before starting assembly, make sure that you have a clean, safe and cushioned space to work in order to avoid any damage to the TV.
- Do not touch or press the TV screen, the glass might break under pressure.
- Carefully place the TV screen face-down on a clean, cushioned surface.
- Insert and secure the stands with the screws provided as shown (2 screws on each side).

Buttons on the TV
- ▲ / ▼ button
Scans up/down through the channel list. In the menu system, these act like the up/down direction buttons on the remote and adjust menu controls. - ◄ / ► button
Increases/decreases the volume. In the menu system, these act like the right/left direction buttons on the remote and adjust menu controls. - ⏻ / ☰ button
Turn the TV on or switch it to standby. When the TV is on, short press it to confirm items; long press it to bring up the menu.
Note: The location and names of the function buttons and power button on the TV may vary according to TV model.

Remote Control Functions
Most of your television's functions are available via the menus that appear on the screen. The remote control supplied with your set can be used to navigate through the menus and to configure all the general settings.
- POWER (⏻) (On/Standby button): Turns the TV on or switches it to standby.
- MUTE (?): To mute and un-mute the sound.
- HOME (⌂): Goes to the smart TV homepage.
- QUICK ACCESS (☰): Enter into Quick Access Menu.
- UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT Direction Buttons (▲/▼/◄/►): Highlights different items in the menu system and adjusts the menu controls. Use the Up or Down buttons to go to the next or previous channel under TV source.
- OK: Confirms your selection.
- BACK (⏏): Exits the menu and returns to the previous menu.
- SOURCE (INPUT): To enter source selection interface.
- MIC (?): Click to activate voice control and interact with Google Assistant of the TV. (Available only when the network connection is normal.)
- SMART (⭐): To enter the Smart Zone (access Enjoy Music, Fast Cast, Sleep Timer, World Clock, Night Mode).
- VOL +/- (?): Increases or decreases the TV's volume.
- VIRTUAL KEYBOARD (⌨️): To activate the virtual keyboard.
- SETTINGS (⚙️): Opens the TV settings menu.
- NETFLIX: Goes to the Netflix homepage.
- YouTube: Goes to the YouTube homepage.
How to Pair Remote Control with the TV
In order to use the voice control features of this Bluetooth remote control, please pair it with the TV as explained below:
- Press ⌂ button to enter the home page.
- Press ▼ button to enter the 'RC pairing' screen.
- Press OK and ⏻ simultaneously to start pairing.
- The screen will display 'Pairing...'. When pairing is complete, the screen will display "Success!".
NOTE: If you wait more than 2 minutes and it can't pair, please repeat the above steps for pairing again.
If you want to unpair the Bluetooth remote, please follow the steps below:
- Press ⌂ button to enter the home page.
- Press ▲ / ▼ ◄ / ► to choose ▲, and then press OK to enter.
- Press ▼ to select "Remotes & Accessories" and then choose the Bluetooth remote name to enter next steps.
- Press unpair and then choose OK button.
How to access some important functions?
- Media Buttons (Play/ Pause/ Stop etc.): Press ⭐ to go to the smart TV homepage, then move the cursor and select the Smart Player app, click OK to enter. The play/pause/stop and similar functions are accessible through the OK and Direction Arrow buttons as required. For example, when playing files from a USB device, OK is to play or pause, Left and Right arrows are for Fast Backward and Fast Forward, and Return is to Stop play.
- Subtitle: Press OK button of remote control under TV source, then select Subtitle by pressing ▲ ▼ ▲ and press OK to enter.
- Program guide: Press OK button of remote control under TV source, then select Program guide by pressing ▲ ▼ ▲ and press OK to enter.
- Record: Press OK button of remote control under TV source, then select Record by pressing ▲ ▼ ▲ and press OK to enter.
- Info: Press ▲ button of remote control under TV source.
General Operation
Switching on
Follow the instructions on this page on how to switch on your TV set and the remote control before going on to following pages describing how to use the channel set-up procedure.
- Insert two batteries in the remote control. The remote control uses 2 x 'AAA' batteries (included).
Precautions on using batteries:
- Only use the battery types specified.
- Make sure you use the correct polarity.
- Do not mix new and used batteries.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like, throw them in a fire, recharge them or try to open them, as this could cause them to leak or explode.
- Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not using it for a long period of time.
- Connect the power cable FIRST to the television, THEN to a mains socket. (Note: If the power cable is connected to the television, please only connect the power cable to the mains socket.)
Your TV set should only be connected to an AC supply. It must not be connected to a DC supply. If the plug is detached from the cable, do not, under any circumstances, connect it to a mains socket, as there is a risk of electric shock.
- Connect an outside aerial to the ANTENNA IN socket at the back of the TV set.
- When powered on, the TV will be turned on directly or be in standby.
Note: For some models, switch the TV on by pressing the power button. If the power indicator lights up, the TV set is in standby mode. Press the ⏻ button on the remote control or on the TV set to turn on the TV.
Switching off
- To put the TV set into standby mode, press the ⏻ button on the remote control or on the TV, the TV set remains powered up, but with low energy consumption.
- To switch off the TV set, unplug the mains socket from the mains outlet. Note: For some models, press the power button to switch off the TV set.
Network Connection
To access the internet, you must have access to high speed broadband internet service from your internet service provider. Your TV can be connected to your home network in two ways:
- Wired, using the RJ45 (LAN) connector on the back panel.
- Wireless, using the internal Wi-Fi and your home wireless network.
Note: Instructions below are just the usual ways to connect your TV to the wired or wireless network. The connection method may be different depending on your actual network configuration. If you have any questions about your home network, please refer to your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
Connecting to a wired network
To connect to a wired network:
- Ensure you have:
- An ethernet cable long enough to reach your TV
- A router or modem with an available Ethernet port
- A high-speed internet connection
- An Ethernet (LAN) port on the back of the TV
- Connect your ethernet cable to the router and to the Ethernet port on the back of the TV.
- Use the Network Settings to configure the TV.
Connecting to a wireless network
To connect to a wireless network
- Ensure you have:
- A router broadcasting a high-speed wireless signal
- A high-speed internet connection
- Use the Network menu to configure the TV.
Note: Some models may have no internal wireless module, you can use wireless network by inserting external wireless adapter into USB socket of the TV. Some external wireless adapters can't be compatible with the TV.
Initial setup
The first time you switch the set on, the Initial setup screen appears, which guides you through the initial setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the initial setup process such as selecting the language, connecting to the network, scanning channels, and more. During each step, either make a choice or skip the step. If you skip a step, you can perform the setup later from the settings menu.
Note: ATV channels are no longer broadcast in Australia, and so only DTV (Digital TV) channels will be tuned.
Homepage Operation

- Press ⌂ to display homepage.

- Source Settings: Select the input source from devices connected to TV through different ports.
- Settings: Allows you to adjust TV settings.

WARNING:
- Configure the network settings before using Smart TV applications.

- According to circumstances of the contents provider, an application's updates or the application itself may be discontinued.

Using your TV
Accessing channels
Using the ▼ / ▲ buttons: press the ▼ / ▲ buttons on the remote control or the corresponding buttons on the TV set to scroll through the channels.
Watching connected devices
Press INPUT in HOME page then press ▲ / ▼ to select your desired source, and then press OK to confirm.
Note: The available source might differ depending on the model.
Volume
- Volume control: press the VOL+/- buttons on the remote control or the corresponding buttons on the TV set to increase or decrease the volume.
- Sound mute: press the ? button to temporarily mute the sound. Press this button again or the VOL+ button to restore the sound.
Using Quick Access Menu

Channels Setup
Analogue Setup
- Analogue Auto Tuning: Press OK to start the automatic search process. The search may take a few minutes. During the process, you can press OK to abort.
- Analogue Manual Tuning: Press OK to enter the interface. Press ▲ / ▼ to set program, TV system or color system item, then Press ▲ / ▼ to select Frequency and press OK to search channel.
Digital Setup
- Digital Antenna Tuning: Press OK to start the automatic search process. The search may take a few minutes. During the process, you can press and choose YES to exit.
- Subtitle Setup:
- (1) Subtitle Setting: Include off, Basic, Hearing impaired.
- (2) Primary Preferred Language: Press OK and then use ▲ / ▼ to select Primary Preferred Language.
- (3) Secondary Preferred Language: Press OK and then use ▲ / ▼ to select second Preferred Language.
- Teletext Setup
- (1) Press OK and select the Preferred Teletext.
- (2) Press OK and select the Decoding page language.
- Audio Setup
- (1) Dialogue Enhancement: Include Off and On.
- (2) Dialogue Enhancement Level: Press OK and then use ▲ / ▼ to set Dialogue Enhancement Level.
- (3) Audio Description: Include Off and On.
- (4) Audio Description Mixing Level: Press OK and then use ▲ / ▼ to set Audio Description Mixing Level.
- (5) Audio Type: Include Normal, Hearing impaired and Visual impaired.
- (6) Primary Preferred Language: Press OK and then use ▲ / ▼ to select Primary Preferred Language.
- (7) Secondary Preferred Language: Press OK and then use ▲ / ▼ to select Second Preferred Language.
External Inputs
- HDMI CEC Settings: Set up CEC compatible devices for streamlined control.
- CEC Control: Go to CEC device list to register new devices.
- Device Auto Power Off: Power off HDMI devices with the TV.
- TV Auto Power On: Power on the TV with a connected HDMI device.
- CEC Device List: Turn devices on and select ENABLE to enable control of HDMI devices.
- Device Control Keys: Pass through additional remote buttons to CEC compatible devices.
- Support HDMI Mode: Enhance 4K HDMI signal format.
Picture & Display
Picture Adjustment:
- Picture Mode: Optimize picture quality for general content. Use ▲/▼ to scroll through the Picture preset settings: Standard, Dynamic, Movie, Sport and Personal.
- Advanced Settings: Access advanced picture enhancing options.
- Brightness: Adjusts the brightness of the picture.
- Color: Adjusts the color saturation.
- Clarity: Advanced technique for picture enhancement.
- Reset: To reset picture adjustment.
Display Setting:
- Screen mode: Adjust the picture size. Use ▲/▼ to scroll through the Screen mode preset settings.
- Auto screen: Automatically adjusts screen mode based on the signal. Include On and Off.
- Overscan: Adjust overscan display, include on/off.
Sound
Sound Adjustment:
- Sound Mode: Optimize sound quality for general content. Use ▲/▼ to scroll through the sound preset settings: Sports, Standard, Cinema, Music and News.
- Surround: Reproduces life-like surround sound when playing 5.1-channel audio sources. Include On and Off.
- Advanced Setting: Access advanced sound enhancing options.
Volume Setting:
- Auto Volume: Keeps the volume level constant for all programs and inputs. Include On and Off.
- Balance: Adjust the speaker balance.
- Digital Audio Out Volume: Applied for PCM only. The volume levels between PCM and compressed audio will differ.
- Digital Audio Out Delay: Set the delay time for Digital Audio.
- Volume offset: Adjust the sound level of the current input relative to other inputs.
Sound mode related:
- Surround effect: Use ◄/► to scroll through Surround effect.
- Equalizer: Use ◄/►▲/▼ to scroll through Equalizer.
Reset: To return all sound settings to factory default.
Digital Audio Out: Optical out for audio signals from the Digital Audio Out.
Smart Zone
- Enjoy Music: Select this option to enter into Audio Only mode.
- Fast Cast: An app that quickly delivers mobile content to TV, allowing users to quickly deliver multimedia content such as photos, videos, music and more to TV terminals. How to access Fast Cast:
- Download Fast Cast mobile app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Make sure your device and the TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Search for the TV (name: ATV R2) on your device Fast Cast app and connect to it.
Note:
- This function may be unavailable for some mobile devices. Not all file formats are supported.
- Recommendations of working environments:
- A: Local Area Network Speed recommendations on: 1 Mbps to 2 Mbps.
- B: Files playable: MP4, AVI, TS, FLV, f4v, m3u8 (subject to chipset supported).
- Sleep Timer: The options include: Off, 10Min, 20Min, 30Min, 60Min, 90Min, 120Min, and 180Min.
- World clock: Enter to add World clock.
- Night mode: Turn on to keep brightness at a lower level at night. This will help to lessen disturbance for others.
System
- Language: Use ▲ / ▼ to scroll through Language.
- Environment: Enter to set Home or shop mode.
- Home mode: Standard picture and sound modes are available in this setting. Choose this option for regular TV viewing at home.
- Shop mode: This setting is suitable for a retail environment. In this mode, picture menu settings will not be accessible.
- Shop Demo: Enter to set E-sticker. Note: E-sticker is not available for some models.
- Power: Enter to set Power mode.
- Wake on Wifi: Enable wake on WIFI Settings.
- Network stand by: Enable wake on Ethernet Settings.
- Sleep Timer: Set the TV to turn off automatically.
- Idle TV Standby: Select the inactivity time after which the TV will standby.
- Available space: Show the system storage size and Memory size.
- Smart TV Manual: Please scan the QR code with your smartphone to view the smart TV user manual.
CHANNELS
Press OK button of remote control under TV source, then you can enter channel and select Program Guide, Recorded Programs or Start Recording by using the direction arrows. Press OK to enter your choice.
Program guide:
By pressing the virtual keyboard on the remote control, you can select the day before and the day after.
Recorded programs:
- Current Recordings: You can view the video information you are currently recording.
- Scheduled Recordings: You can see a list of programs that have been scheduled to be recorded.
- Recorded Programs: The recorded programs will be saved in this folder.
- Recording Error list: Shows the programs that cannot be recorded.
- Reminders: Shows the programs set up for 'watch alerts'. You can set alerts from Program Guide.
- Start recording: Press OK to start recording and press again to stop. You can choose how long to record the video, for example, record for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 3 hours.
Note: These functions are available in DTV mode only. A USB memory device must be connected to one of the USB ports in order to do any recording. Please back up any important data in your USB memory device first. Do not unplug the USB device when the system is reading a file or transmitting data, otherwise the system or the device may be damaged.
TV OPTIONS
Press OK button of remote control under TV source, then you can enter tv options.
Subtitle language:
Press OK and then use ▲ / ▼ to select the status of subtitle language: off, basic or hearing impaired.
Add favorite:
Add your favorite channels to the list.
Audio language:
Press OK and then use ▲ / ▼ to select the status of audio language: English or unknown.

Multimedia
Connect a USB device to a USB socket, the screen will show USB file name and then press OK to enter. If no USB device is connected, the USB interface will not be displayed.
Video:
- Select Video icon, then press OK button to view movie file.
- Press Up, Down, Left or Right direction button to select your desired file and press OK to Play.
- While playing a Video, press OK button of remote to display the play console. For the Play console, Press Ok key of remote to Play and Pause the video file, left key of remote to Fast backward, right key of remote to Fast forward.
- Use ☰ key to see more options: Photo, Scale, Looping mode, Subtitle, Audio track, info, Settings.
- Press Return key of remote to Stop playing and Press Return to Exit.
Photo:
- Select Picture icon, then press OK button to view the picture.
- Press Up, Down, Left or Right direction button to select your desired picture file and press OK to show.
- While showing picture, press OK to display the play console. For Previous and Next use remote left and Right key.
- Use OK key to see more options: Left Rotation, Right Rotation, zoom+, zoom-, Manual play, Information, Play mode, Play interval, BGM: on or off.
Music:
- Select Music icon, then press OK button to listen to Music.
- Press Up, Down, Left or Right direction button to select your desired file and press OK to Play.
- The Play console includes Previous, Play/Pause, Fast backward/Fast forward, Next. Press ☰ key to see PlayList.
- Press Return key of remote to Stop playing.
Disk:
- Select Disk icon, then press OK button to choose folder.
- Press Up, Down, Left or Right direction button to select your desired file and press OK to Play.
- Press Return key of remote to Stop playing.
Attention:
Some non-standard mobile storage devices may not be recognized. Please change to use the standard device.
Note: For coding files, there are many kinds of non-standard coding method, so this system cannot be guaranteed to support the file formats using any coding method.

- Under the following conditions, this system cannot decode the file and the file cannot be played normally:
- The parameters of file, such as the pixel of picture, code rate of audio and video file, sampling rate of audio file, exceed the limit of the system;
- The format of file is not matched or the file is corrupted.
- Hot plug: Do not disconnect when the system is reading or transmitting date to avoid damaging the system or the device.
- Pay attention to the power supply of the device when you are using a mobile hard disk or a digital camera. If the power supply is not sufficient or not stable, you may encounter problems during operating or can not operate at all. In this case, please restart the device, or unplug the device and plug it again, and ensure that its power supply is normal.
- The system supports standard USB1.1 and USB2.0 devices, such as standard USB devices, MP3 players, mobile hard disks, etc.
- Use devices compatible with USB 2.0 standard for obtaining better audio and video quality.
- Picture interference and menu response delays may occur when playing videos with high compression ratio.
- For USB devices with separate power supply like large hard disk drives, it is recommended to use it with its own power supply.

- Picture: JPEG/PNG/BMP.

Problems & Solutions
1. Fail to link to the network.
- Check if your TV is connected with the network;
- Reboot your TV;
- Consult your internet service provider, to confirm if access of your router is supported. Refer to the operation manual of your router.
- Make sure that your TV is connected with the router. If the router is well connected and powered on, try to change to a new router and network line, and use your PC to have a test. If the problem persists, please contact Customer Service.
2. The video could not be played smoothly.
- Videos from your USB flash drive --- It may result from data transmission, or its code flow is far beyond the supported formats of this TV set.
- Videos downloaded from internet, or online videos.
- a. It may be caused by the lower bandwidth of your network. A high network speed is required to handle online videos.
- b. Peak internet usage times may affect the bandwidth.
- c. Check if any other computers on the same network are also operating, as they may be using up bandwidth. Especially if they are downloading or displaying on-line videos.
- d. The video may not be smooth itself, it is not the problem of your TV or network.
3. When two mobile hard disks are connected with the TV at the same time, they will not be recognized sometimes.
- All mobile hard disks consume a lot of power, which may result in power supply problems. We recommend inserting only one hard disk, or a low power consumption mobile hard disk.
4. The video from a mobile hard disk (USB) is playing with no sound.
- The audio format of the video in your mobile hard disk is not supported by the TV player.
5. Some videos fail to play.
- The formats of the videos may not be supported by the TV, especially videos shot by certain kinds of cameras, generally with their private protocol of formats, which are not compatible with your TV.
6. Video stops playing midway.
- Mistakes may occur when videos are copied or compressed, so they may automatically stop playing during playback.
7. What should I pay attention to, when I do SW updating
- No power cuts when SW updating;
- Avoid any operations with your remote control when SW updating;
- Be patient because the SW updating process may take quite a while.
8. There are no distinct changes of TV interface after SW updating.
Under certain conditions, SW updating may not only update or add new functions but also improve the performance of the TV set, without distinct changes of interface. Also, there may be no changes to the user interface at all.
Troubleshooting
Most problems you encounter with your TV can be corrected by consulting the following troubleshooting list.
No picture, no sound
- Check if the fuse or circuit breaker is working.
- Plug another electrical device into the outlet to make sure it is working or turned on.
- Power plug is in a bad contact with the outlet.
- Check the signal source.
No color
- Change the color system.
- Adjust the saturation.
- Try another channel. Black-white program may be received.
Remote control does not work
- Change the batteries.
- Batteries are not installed correctly.
- Main power is not connected.
No picture, normal sound
- Adjust the brightness and contrast.
- Broadcasting failure may happen.
Normal picture, no sound
- Press the Vol+ button to increase volume.
- Volume is set to mute, press the mute button to restore sound.
- Change the sound system.
- Broadcasting failure may happen.
Unorderly ripples on the picture
It is usually caused by local interference, such as cars, daylight lamps, hair dryers or similar. Adjust the antenna to minimize the interference.
Snowy dots and interference
If the antenna is located in the fringe area of a television signal where the signal is weak, the picture may be marred by dots. When the signal is extremely weak, it may be necessary to install a special antenna to improve the reception.
- Adjust the position and orientation of the indoor/outdoor antenna.
- Check the connection of antenna.
- Fine tune the channel.
- Try another channel. Broadcasting failure may happen.
Ignition
Black spots or horizontal streaks appear, or the picture flutters or drifts. This is usually caused by interference from car ignition system, neon lamps, electric drills, or other electrical appliance.
Ghost
Ghosts are caused by the television signal following two paths. One is the direct path, the other is reflected from tall buildings, hills, or other objects. Changing the direction or position of the antenna may improve the reception.
Radio frequency interference
This interference produces moving ripples or diagonal streaks, and in some case, loss of contrast in the picture. Find out and remove the radio interference source.
If the TV software crashes
- Press the Power button to turn off TV, then press the Power button again to reset TV.
- Unplug the power cord, then press the Power button to reset TV.
