XID Mixed Flow Fan - Isolator Mounting

Instructions for positioning and mounting XID mixed flow fans using isolators.

Move the XID mixed flow fan to the desired location and determine the mounting position.
For horizontal mount applications (excluding neoprene), mount the isolators directly to the fan.
For neoprene and vertical mount applications, use supplied brackets.
Ensure all fasteners are tight and all washers are used.

This Quick Start Guide is supplementary and does not replace the Installation Operation Manual (IOM). Refer to the IOM for comprehensive information.

Mounting Type Diagrams

Horizontal Mount: Depicts a fan unit mounted directly on isolators, showing dimensions A and B.

Horizontal Hanging Neoprene Mount: Depicts a fan unit with neoprene isolators mounted below, showing dimensions A, B, and C.

Vertical Mount: Depicts a fan unit mounted vertically with isolators, showing dimensions A, B, and C. Includes diameter indicators ∅0.50 in. and ∅1.25 in.

Isolator Sizing for All XID and XIB Fans

Isolators are selected based on the specific fan's weight. For replacement or retrofit isolators where the fan weight is unknown, use the chart below to determine the appropriate isolator color and kit part number.

XID and XIB Centrifugal Fan - Isolator Mounting

Instructions for mounting XID and XIB centrifugal fans using isolators.

For centrifugal XID/XIB, punch out (4) knock-out holes which are located on the unit top and bottom panels.

Assemble the brackets to the unit according to the drawings shown and refer to respective parts list (reverse side).

Ensure all fasteners are tight and all washers are used.
