Installation Instructions

Step 1: Open the top cover.

Step 2: Align the hard drive interface and insert the hard drive. Insert the hard drive fixing plug to secure the hard drive and apply the thermal silicone pad.

FAQ

1. Why is the hard drive not appearing on the computer?

   • Please check if the hard drive is a 2.5/3.5 inch HDD/SSD and is correctly inserted into the slot.
   • Check if your hard drive is displayed in "Disk Management" (Windows) or "Disk Utility" (Mac).
     • Windows: Right-click "This PC" and select "Manage" to enter "Disk Management".
     • Mac: Type "Disk Utility" in the desktop search bar and press Enter.
   • If the hard drive is new, it needs to be formatted and initialized.
     • For Windows:
       1. Right-click "This PC", go to Management -> Disk Management -> Initialize Disk.
       2. Right-click the unallocated space and click "New Simple Volume". Follow the prompts by selecting "Next" multiple times, then click "Finish".
     • For Mac:
       1. After connecting to the enclosure, a prompt will appear. Right-click "Initialize" to begin.
       2. Right-click "Erase", and a pop-up window will appear.

2. Can the expanded Thunderbolt interface be used for screen mirroring with a USB-C interface?

   The expanded Thunderbolt interface of this product only supports daisy-chain data transmission and does not support video/charging functions.

• This product is primarily used as a mobile hard drive enclosure. ACASIS is not responsible for product malfunctions caused by other uses.
• Avoid using this product in hot, direct sunlight, or humid environments.
• Malfunctions caused by moisture are not covered by the warranty.
• Using the product near strong magnetic objects may cause malfunctions.
• Do not place foreign objects inside the product.

Product Warranty Policy

1. The warranty is valid from the date indicated on the warranty card. ACASIS is not responsible for warranty if the product is disassembled by the user. ACASIS is not responsible for direct or indirect economic losses caused by data loss.
2. During the warranty period, if the product malfunctions due to its components under normal use and maintenance, and is confirmed by technical personnel, free repairs and replacement of parts will be provided.
3. Repairs and replacements within the warranty period do not extend or restart the warranty period.
4. The following situations are not covered by the warranty:
   1. Tampering with the warranty card content or information that does not match the product.
   2. Damage caused by not operating according to the user manual or incorrect installation.
   3. Damage caused by human factors or improper use.
   4. Natural disasters such as floods and fires.
   5. Repairs, alterations, modifications, or disassembly by unauthorized service personnel.
   6. Severe damage to the casing, scratches, or complete burnout of the circuit.
   7. The product is outside the warranty period.

Hazardous Substances Information

O: Indicates that the content of the hazardous substance in all homogeneous materials of the component is below the limit requirement specified in GB/T 26572-2011.

X: Indicates that the content of the hazardous substance in at least one of the homogeneous materials of the component is above the limit requirement specified in GB/T 26572-2011.

Accessory Requirements

Using unapproved or incompatible power adapters or accessories may cause fire, explosion, or other hazards.
