Installation Guide

3.5-inch Hard Drive Installation

1. Press the hard drive tray release button and pull out the handle.
2. Rotate and open the side locking bar of the tray.
3. Insert the 3.5-inch hard drive, aligning it with the screw posts on both sides.
4. Secure the hard drive with screws.
5. Place the hard drive and tray back into the enclosure.

2.5-inch Hard Drive Installation

1. Place the 2.5-inch hard drive.
2. Flip the tray downwards. Align the four screw holes on the drive with the four holes on the tray.
3. Install and tighten the screws to secure the drive.
4. Place the hard drive and tray back into the enclosure.

Indicator Light Status

• Blue Light Solid: Power connected, hard drive inserted.
• Blue Light Flashing: Hard drive reading data.
• Red Light Solid: Hard drive error (disk is working but unreadable).

Product Operation

1. First, insert the 2.5/3.5-inch hard drive(s).
2. Connect the enclosure to your computer using the USB data cable, and then connect the power adapter.
3. Press the power switch to turn on the device.

Troubleshooting

Why is the hard drive not appearing on the computer?

• Check Drive Connection: Ensure the hard drive is a SAS/SATA drive and is correctly inserted into the slot.
• Check Disk Management:
  • Windows: Right-click 'This PC', select 'Manage', then 'Disk Management'.
  • Mac: Search for 'Disk Utility' in the desktop search bar.
• New Drives: If the drive is new, it needs to be formatted and initialized.
  • Windows: Right-click 'This PC' -> 'Manage' -> 'Disk Management' -> 'Initialize Disk'. Right-click the unallocated space and select 'New Simple Volume', follow the prompts.
  • Mac: After connecting to the enclosure, a prompt may appear. Click 'Initialize'. Then right-click 'Erase' and follow the prompts to complete initialization.
• Test with Another Drive: Try using a different, known-good hard drive to rule out drive failure.
