Operations

1. Install Clip and Wind Screen

The clip is installed before leaving the factory. If you need to re-install the clip, follow the provided steps. Ensure the foam windscreen is fitted onto the microphone head.

2. Mounting the Microphone to Your Clothing

Attach the microphone to the front of your clothing using the clothing clip, positioning it approximately 20-25cm (8-10 inches) from your face.

• ● Attach the microphone upside down to reduce excessive breath noises and tonal inconsistencies due to head movements.
• ● It is recommended to use the foam wind screen at all times to avoid wind noise, even when recording indoors.

3. Connect BY-DM2 to Your Android Device

Connect the BY-DM2's USB Type-C connector to the USB Type-C port on your Android device.

Tips and Notes

1. Some devices default to using their built-in microphone; you may need to download a third-party recording app and set the external microphone mode manually.
2. If your Android device does not recognize the BY-DM2, try disconnecting and reconnecting it to the USB Type-C port and attempt to record again.
3. It is recommended to set your Android device to airplane mode to prevent incoming calls from disrupting recordings.
4. Before recording an important event, record and play back a short test clip with the microphone attached to ensure audio recording is functioning properly.
