Connecting with the Xiaomi Home App
This product works with the Xiaomi Home app for control and interaction with other smart home devices.
Scan the QR code to download and install the app. If the app is already installed, you will be directed to the connection setup page. Alternatively, search for "Xiaomi Home" in your app store.
Open the Xiaomi Home app, tap "+" on the upper right, and follow the on-screen instructions to add your device.
Notes: App versions may be updated; follow instructions based on the current version. Ensure a stable network connection and that the camera is on (orange indicator) before connecting. The indicator turns blue upon successful connection. Use Xiaomi Home app version 9.4 or later.
Reset
To change the network or Xiaomi account connected to the camera, press and hold the reset button for approximately 7 seconds until a voice prompt confirms the reset is complete. Resetting the camera will not delete any data on the microSD card.
Installation
The camera can be placed on a horizontal surface (desk, dining table, coffee table) or mounted on a wall.
Desktop Placement
For desktop placement, position the camera on a table edge or an elevated surface for a better wide-angle view of the fixed lens.
Wall Mounting
1. Stick the mounting template sticker to a suitable wall position. Drill holes aligning with the sticker's holes (approx. 6 mm diameter, 30 mm depth). (Fig. D-1)
2. Insert the plastic wall plugs into the drilled holes. (Fig. D-1)
3. Align the wall mount holes with the drilled holes. Insert screws through the mount holes and tighten them into the wall plugs using a Phillips head screwdriver. (Fig. D-2)
4. Align the grooves on the bottom of the camera with the raised part on the wall mount. Hold both parts and turn the wall mount clockwise until it locks into place. (Fig. D-3)
5. Adjust the wall mount shaft for a suitable camera angle. Horizontally turn the camera to adjust the fixed lens's horizontal direction. Vertically turn the camera along the direction indicated by "=" on the wall mount to adjust the fixed lens's pitching angle. (Fig. D-4)
Precaution: The wall must be able to support at least three times the total weight of the camera.
WARNING: The camera must be securely fixed to the ceiling or wall according to the installation instructions to prevent possible injury.
