Connecting to Power

Turning On

Plug the charging cable into the Type-C power port on the back of the camera. The camera will automatically turn on, indicated by its indicator light quickly blinking orange.

Note: Do not turn the camera lens or force it to rotate while the camera is operating. If the lens positioning is inaccurate, calibrate it in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.

Indicator Status

• Keeping blue: Connected successfully / Working properly
• Blinking blue: Network error
• Blinking orange quickly: To be connected
• Blinking orange slowly: Updating

Connecting with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home App

This product works with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. Control your device using the app.

To download and install the app, scan the QR code provided in the original document. If the app is already installed, you will be directed to the connection setup page. Alternatively, search for "Mi Home/Xiaomi Home" in your app store.

Open the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner, and follow the on-screen instructions to add your device.

* The app is referred to as Xiaomi Home app in Europe (except for Russia). The name displayed on your device should be considered the default.

* Please download and use Xiaomi Home app version 9.4 or above.

Note: App versions may be updated. Follow the instructions based on the current app version. Ensure the camera is on and the network connection is stable during the connection process. The indicator blinks orange quickly while waiting for a connection and turns solid blue once successfully connected.

Restoring Factory Settings

To connect the camera to a different network or bind it to another Xiaomi Account via the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, press and hold the reset button for approximately 7 seconds until the indicator blinks orange quickly. This indicates the camera has been restored to factory settings. Then, reconnect the camera to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.

Note: Content on the microSD card is not deleted when the camera is restored to factory settings.

Installation

Installing a MicroSD Card

Disconnect the camera from power. Insert a microSD card with its contact side facing up.

Note: Disconnect the camera from power before installing or removing the microSD card. Use a genuine microSD card from a qualified supplier with a capacity of 8-256 GB. A microSD card with a read/write speed of no less than U1/Class 10 is recommended.

Installing the Camera

Place the camera on a flat surface, such as a desk, dining table, or coffee table, or mount it on a wall.

Mounting the Camera on a Wall

1. Paste the mounting sticker where the camera needs to be installed. Drill two holes in the wall according to the locating holes on the sticker. The holes should be approximately 6 mm in diameter and 30 mm in depth.
2. Insert the plastic wall plugs into the drilled holes.
3. Align the base with the holes, ensuring the side with an arrow faces outward. Insert the screws and tighten them into the wall plugs using a Phillips head screwdriver.
4. Align the groove on the bottom of the camera with the raised part on the base. Turn the camera clockwise until it locks into place.

Precaution: The wall must be able to support at least three times the total weight of the camera.

WARNING: The camera must be securely fixed to the ceiling or wall according to the installation instructions to prevent possible injury.

Features

Real-time Surveillance

In the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, you can view real-time surveillance footage, adjust image sharpness, set horizontal and vertical angles, take screenshots, record footage, and make remote calls.

Infrared Night Vision

The camera automatically switches modes based on ambient light, enabling night vision mode in the dark. With built-in infrared night vision lights, it can capture clear images and videos even in low-light conditions.

Playback

• Playback functionality is available when a compatible microSD card is installed or a cloud storage service is purchased.
• In the camera's plugin within the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, tap the playback button to access the playback interface. You can then drag the timeline to select a time period and adjust playback speed.

Automatic Surveillance

• When the home surveillance assistant feature is enabled, the camera records videos upon detecting human movement and changes within its surveilled area, sending notifications via the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.
• This feature can be enabled or disabled within the camera's plugin.
• Surveillance time can be set to all-day, daytime, nighttime, or customized as needed, with adjustable alert time intervals.

Video Sharing

Within the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, navigate to the device sharing option in the settings menu to share the camera with others. Users you share with must download the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app and sign in with a Xiaomi Account.

Physical Lens Blocking

When the camera is not in use, tap the [power-button] icon on the real-time footage screen in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app to enter the physical lens blocking status. Alternatively, navigate to "Settings > Camera settings > Physical lens blocking settings" to enable the feature or set scheduled automatic blocking. The camera will automatically adjust the lens to be covered by the casing for privacy protection.

Cautions

• The operating temperature range for this camera is between -10°C and 40°C. Do not use the camera in environments with temperatures above or below the specified range.
• The camera is a precision electronic product. To ensure its normal operation, do not install it in environments with high humidity levels or allow water to get into it.
• To ensure performance, do not place the lens facing or next to a reflective surface (e.g., a glass window or white wall), as this can cause overexposure in nearby areas and underexposure in farther areas, or produce white images.
• Install the camera in an area with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Keep it away from objects that may affect the Wi-Fi signal, such as metal objects and microwave ovens.
• Use only the original power adapter to avoid errors due to insufficient power supply.
• Under normal use conditions, maintain a separation distance of at least 20 cm between the antenna and the user's body.
