iPega PG-9069 Bluetooth Gamepad with Touchpad
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the iPega PG-9069 Bluetooth Gamepad with Touchpad. This gamepad supports playing games on Bluetooth-enabled Android tablets/smartphones/TV boxes/smart TVs/VR, iOS mobile phones/tablets, MAC OSX PCs, and Windows PCs (Win7/Win8/Win10/Win XP) without requiring drivers.
The gamepad features white LED lights on the bottom of the A/B/X/Y function keys, which illuminate for 3 seconds upon device power-on to aid visibility in dark environments. The L2 and R2 function keys are equipped with Hall effect sensors for enhanced control accuracy. Its ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip, and the dual motor vibration function provides tactile feedback, supporting games with vibration (operational in wired PC X-INPUT mode only).
The integrated touchpad offers mouse functionality, allowing for more convenient operation on Android and PC platforms. Please note that iPega is not responsible for games that become unplayable or disconnected due to official game platform software upgrades or source code changes. iPega reserves the right of final interpretation.
Key Functions and Features
Button Layout
The gamepad features a comprehensive layout: a directional pad [D-pad] on the left, two analog sticks (L3 and R3 when pressed), shoulder buttons (L1, L2, R1, R2), four action buttons (A, B, X, Y), and central control buttons including SELECT, START, HOME, TURBO, and MACRO. A touchpad is located on the front surface.
Touchpad Function
The touchpad supports mouse functionality for convenient operation on Android/PC platforms:
- Move your finger slightly on the sensitive area to move the cursor.
- Click the touchpad once slightly to select an object.
- To double-click, focus the cursor on the object and double-click.
LED Indicators
LED indicators are located under the ABXY buttons to show connection status and mode. An additional LED near the charging port indicates charging status and Macro function settings.
Mode Switch
A physical mode switch is located near the HOME button, allowing selection between Android HID, iOS iCade, iOS X_Keyboard, and Windows HID modes.
Phone Holder Assembly
Assembly
- Align the three positioning slots of the gamepad with the three buttons on the top, and secure the fixed clip across the bottom of the gamepad.
- Align the positioning hole on the top of the fixed clip with the toggle switch of the gamepad and push it upwards simultaneously.
- Assembly is complete once the top of the clip is fixed to the gamepad's edge.
Detachment
- Pull off the top edge of the fixed clip, then pull downwards until the edge is removed from the gamepad.
- Move the fixed clip downwards and push it backward simultaneously.
- Move the entire fixed clip backward to finish the detachment process.

Gamepad Status Functions
Charge/Sleep/Wake up
- The side LED indicator lights up during charging and turns off upon full charge.
- The gamepad enters a sleeping mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. Pressing the [HOME] button wakes it up and reconnects automatically.
- The side LED indicator flashes quickly to remind of low battery.
Operation Instructions
Bluetooth Pairing and Modes
General Pairing Steps: Press and hold the [HOME] button for 5 seconds for the first connection. Release the [HOME] button when the LED indicator under the X/B/A/Y buttons flashes slowly, then quickly. For subsequent connections, press and hold [HOME] for 1 second.
Android System (HID Mode)
Mode Switch Position: [Android HID Mode]
Usage: Supports most Android games and emulators, including titles like Shadowgun, Modern Warfare 5, Asphalt, Metal Slug, and various emulators (FC, GBA, Arcade, SFC, N64). Users can also download games from the Android Game Center.
Connection Steps
- Pull the mode switch to the [Android HID] position.
- Perform the general pairing steps (press and hold [HOME] for 5 seconds).
- Turn on Bluetooth on your Android device and scan for devices.
- Find and select "PG-9069" for Bluetooth pairing.
- The LED under the X/B/A/Y keys will illuminate upon successful connection.
- Scan the QR code to download the Android Game Center for game downloads and play.
iOS System (iCade Mode)
Mode Switch Position: [iOS iCade Mode]
Usage: Supports iOS non-jailbreaking devices. Search "iCade" on the App Store for compatible games. Note that iOS system support for games in iCade mode is limited.
Connection Steps
- Ensure keyboard input is set to English on your iOS device.
- Pull the mode switch to the [iOS iCade] position.
- Perform the general pairing steps (press and hold [HOME] for 5 seconds).
- Turn on Bluetooth on your iOS device and scan for devices.
- Find and select "PG-9069" for Bluetooth pairing.
- The LED indicator under the X/B/A/Y keys will illuminate upon successful connection.
iOS System (X_Keyboard Mode)
Mode Switch Position: [iOS X_Keyboard Mode]
Usage: For keyboard and mouse input on iOS devices.
Connection Steps
- Ensure keyboard input is set to English on your iOS device.
- Pull the mode switch to the [iOS X_Keyboard] position.
- Perform the general pairing steps (press and hold [HOME] for 5 seconds).
- Turn on Bluetooth on your iOS device and scan for devices.
- Find and select "PG-9069" for Bluetooth pairing.
- The LED indicator under the X/B/A/Y keys will illuminate upon successful connection.
Windows System (HID Mode - GamePad)
Mode Switch Position: [Windows HID Mode]
Requirement: A USB Bluetooth 2.1 receiver is needed for Bluetooth connection.
Connection via USB
- Connect the gamepad to a PC USB port using a USB data cable.
- On WIN7 and above systems, the connection is default. The indicator light will be on, showing X-INPUT mode. This mode supports most PC games, such as Need for Speed, SHADOWGUN, Street Fighter 5, and Dead of Trigger.
Connection via Bluetooth
- Turn on the gamepad for Bluetooth pairing: Pull the mode switch to the [Windows HID] position. Perform the general pairing steps (press and hold [HOME] for 5 seconds).
- Bluetooth Pairing on PC:
- Insert the Bluetooth 2.1 receiver into the PC's USB interface; Windows will automatically install the driver.
- The Bluetooth device symbol will appear in the lower-right corner of the computer.
- Right-click the Bluetooth symbol and select "Add Device".
- In the dialog box, search for the device icon (PG-9069).
- Click "Next", select "Do not use the code to match", and confirm. The device will be added automatically, and a Bluetooth connection success message will appear. The indicator light will remain on.
- The connection will be in D_INPUT mode, supporting simulator games.
Advanced Functions
Macro Button Instruction
The LED indicator near the charge port displays Bluetooth pairing, reconnect, USB mode, and Macro settings.
- L1/R1 can be set as Macro keys. When used as Macro keys, their original functions are disabled; original functions are restored upon clearing the Macro function.
- Programmable keys for Macro: A, B, X, Y, L1, R1, L2, R2, D-PAD.
- Each Macro key can be programmed with up to 8 keys.
- If programmed keys are pressed simultaneously with the Macro key, the original key function remains active.
- User-defined Macro key programming:
- In gamepad mode, press the [MACRO] button; the indicator flashes twice, indicating entry into macro mode.
- Press the key to be programmed (L1 or R1); the indicator flashes once to confirm the key.
- Enter programming mode by typing the necessary combination keys (select from A, B, X, Y, and D-pad). The indicator flashes once per successful key input.
- The maximum supported combination is 8 key values.
- If more than 8 key values are entered, it automatically saves and exits macro mode (indicator flashes four times). If fewer than 8 key values are entered, press the [MACRO] button once to exit (indicator flashes four times).
- To clear a custom Macro key:
- Enter macro mode (press [MACRO] button; indicator flashes twice).
- Press the key to be programmed (L1 or R1); indicator flashes once.
- Press the [MACRO] button again to exit (indicator flashes four times).
- L1/R1 will revert to their original key values.
- Combination key functions are not supported when the power is off.
Turbo Button Instruction
- Enabling Turbo: Press and hold the [TURBO] button and the desired action key (e.g., A) simultaneously. The action key will then have a turbo function with acceleration.
- Disabling Turbo: Press and hold the [TURBO] button and the action key simultaneously. The action key will lose its turbo function.
L2/R2 Analog Limit Switch
This function allows setting analog control for L2/R2 buttons for different gameplay experiences:
- With the analog limit switch function enabled, the valid analog value (0~100) ranges between 60~70.
- With the analog limit switch function disabled, the valid analog value (0~100) ranges between 0~100.
Notes
- Do not store the product in wet or high-temperature areas.
- Avoid striking, piercing, or attempting to decompose the product to prevent damage.
- The product contains built-in batteries; please do not discard them with general waste.
- Do not charge the controller near fire or other heat sources.
