INSTALLATION
Charge
For best performance, fully charge both devices before the first use (estimated charge time: 3 hours each). Use the included micro USB cable and a USB power source to charge the Monster Bluetooth® Transmitter/Receiver and Monster Bluetooth® Headset until full.
- LED charging indicator (next to the USB port): Solid RED – charging / OFF – fully charged.
- When in use, the BT Transmitter/receiver emits a 'Low Battery' message when its battery needs charging. The earphones emit a low battery tone.
Transmitter (TX) Mode
TX mode allows streaming audio from non-Bluetooth® TV and audio devices to the neckband earphones.
STEP 1: Transmitter Setup
The transmitter includes an optional, peel-and-stick velcro mounting strip for attachment to the back of a TV or other equipment.
- Switch the TX/RX switch to TX.
- Connect the Transmitter to the output port of the audio source (e.g., TV) using the 3.5mm or optical cable. Use only one cable at a time. Ensure it is connected to the AUDIO OUTPUT jack, not an input.
- Press and hold the Transmitter/Receiver Power/Pairing button for approximately 3 seconds to turn the Transmitter on. The button will flash Red/Blue, indicating TX pairing mode.
- After connecting to a TV, you may need to adjust the TV's audio output to select the 3.5mm output. For prolonged use, connect the transmitter to a USB port or a separate USB power source.
STEP 2: Auto Pair the Bluetooth Headset
- Press and hold the power button on the Headset for approximately 2 seconds to power it on.
- The power-on tone will sound, and the pairing indicator will flash Red/Blue, indicating Auto Pairing Mode.
- Within seconds, the headset will connect to the transmitter, indicated by a solid blue light and the word 'Connected'. The transceiver indicators will turn blue, and the headset indicator will be lit blue.
- Audio from the source will now be heard through the headset.
- Adjust the volume level on the headset. If the audio is too low, increase the audio level on the audio source.
Receiver (RX) Mode
RX mode allows streaming audio from a phone or other Bluetooth device to non-Bluetooth audio devices like amplifiers or music systems.
Step 1: Receiver Setup
- Switch the TX/RX switch on the transceiver to RX.
- Connect the Receiver to the input port of the audio device (e.g., speaker) using the 3.5mm cable.
- Press and hold the Transmitter/Receiver Power/Pairing button for approximately 3 seconds to turn the Receiver on. The button will flash blue rapidly, indicating RX pairing mode.
- Open the Bluetooth pairing screen on your phone or other Bluetooth device and connect to "Monster MTH!>-1002-RX". The receiver will pair, and the indicator will flash blue slowly.
- Audio from the phone or Bluetooth device can now be enjoyed from the connected speaker or audio device.
- Adjust the volume on your audio device and/or Bluetooth device. Wired headphones can be used by connecting them to the receiver's audio out port.
Note: The receiver's Optical port is an input port only and has no function in RX mode.
Headset-only Bluetooth Mode
The Headset can be used as a standalone Bluetooth headset without the Transmitter/Receiver. It can be paired to any Bluetooth-enabled device (phones, tablets, computers). Ensure the Transmitter is OFF before re-pairing the Headset.
- Enable Bluetooth search mode on your audio device (follow its instructions).
- Turn on the Bluetooth headset by pressing and holding the Multifunction Button for 3 seconds. A power-on tone will sound, and the LED indicator will flash blue and red quickly, indicating Auto Pairing Mode.
- Locate and select "Monster MTH!>-1002" in your device's Bluetooth list to complete pairing. The earphones indicator will be lit blue, and 'Connected' will be heard.
- Play audio on the Bluetooth device. Audio will be heard through the headset.
