Introduction

The Monster Bluetooth 2-in-1 Wireless Audio Adapter is a Bluetooth Audio Transceiver (Transmitter and Receiver) that allows for convenient transmission and reception of audio to and from other audio devices up to 33 feet away. In Transmitter mode, it streams audio from devices like TVs or gaming systems to two Bluetooth headphones, soundbars, or speakers. In Receiver mode, it streams audio from a phone or other Bluetooth device to any non-Bluetooth audio device with audio outputs.

Controls, at a Glance

① POWER ON/OFF: Press and hold for 3 seconds to power on/off.

② BLUETOOTH® PAIRING/RE-PAIRING MODE (TX/RX/BYPASS): Button to switch modes.

③ SEARCH AND PAIR BLUETOOTH® DEVICES (TX MODE): Initiates search for Bluetooth devices.

④ MULTI-FUNCTION BUTTON AND VOLUME/SCROLL KNOB: Controls volume, playback, and confirms selections.

⑤ TYPE-C POWER PORT: Connect the power cable here.

Transmitter Mode (TX)

1. Press the mode button (②) to switch to transmitter mode. "TX" will appear on the screen, and the transceiver will enter "Searching/Connecting" mode.
2. Connect the Bluetooth Transceiver's input to your TV, game system, or other audio source using either the included 3.5mm audio cable or optical audio cable.
3. Power on your Bluetooth headphone/speaker and set it to pairing mode. Follow the pairing instructions for your specific Bluetooth device.
4. Keep the devices close to each other while pairing. The Transceiver will pair/connect to your Bluetooth audio device. The name of the Bluetooth audio device will be shown on the transceiver's screen.
5. You should now hear audio output on your headphones or speaker when playing audio from your TV, game system, or other audio source. Ensure sound levels are adjusted correctly on the adapter and all connected devices for optimal sound quality.

Troubleshooting: If the Transceiver is not successfully pairing, turn it off and on again by pressing the power button (①), then restart the pairing process.

How to connect the second headphone/speaker:

1. Enter the second headphone into pairing mode.
2. Press the Search and pair button (③).
3. Press the multi-function button (④) to confirm.

How to choose the paired Bluetooth® headphones/speakers:

1. Press the Bluetooth button (③) to disconnect the current two paired devices.
2. The transceiver will automatically enter searching mode, and the names of the paired devices will appear on the screen (one page can show up to four devices).
3. Rotate the multi-function button (④) to choose the desired device, then press to confirm.

How to automatically connect two Bluetooth® headphones/speakers:

1. Press the search button (③) to disconnect the current two paired devices and automatically enter searching and connecting mode. Once connected, the names of the two devices will appear on the screen.

Note: The device will automatically reconnect to the recently connected two headphones/speakers once they are in pairing mode.

Note: For power saving, the display may go dark for approximately 3 seconds when changing modes (TX, RX, and Bypass). It may also darken when not being adjusted and can be illuminated again by pressing the multi-function button (④).

Receiver Mode (RX)

1. Press the mode button (②) to switch the Bluetooth Transceiver to receiver mode. "RX" will be shown on the screen.
2. Connect the Bluetooth transceiver to a speaker/soundbar using either the included 3.5mm Audio Cable or Optical Audio Cable.
3. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone or other device. Search for "Monster MBA9-1011-BLK" and tap to connect. Once connected, the name of the mobile phone or Bluetooth device will be shown on the screen.
4. You should now hear audio output on your speakers when playing audio from your Bluetooth device.
5. Press the multi-function button (④) to play/pause music or rotate it clockwise/anti-clockwise to increase/decrease the volume.

Audio Bypass Mode

Use the Bluetooth Transceiver to connect a sound system directly to your TV.

1. Press the mode button (②) to switch the Bluetooth® transceiver to Bypass mode. "BYPASS" will appear on the screen.
2. Connect the TV to the input jack of the transceiver and connect the sound system to the output jack.
3. Note: The input/output interface must be the same. If using the OPTICAL cable with the TV, use the OPTICAL cable to connect to the sound system. If using the AUX cable to connect to the TV, use the AUX cable to connect to the sound system.
4. If the transceiver is connected with both AUX and OPTICAL cables in Audio bypass mode, the bypass mode will default to AUX Mode. Disconnect the AUX cables if you intend to use OPTICAL bypass mode.
