Installation Guide

Follow these steps for the installation of the LEDVANCE Highbay Sensor.

Step 1: Unpacking and Preparation

Contents: The package includes the Highbay Sensor unit, a suspension ring (M10), and the HB Bracket. Ensure all components are present.

Visual Description: An illustration shows the sensor unit, a box, a suspension ring labeled 'M10', and the HB Bracket with its dimensions (0.3 kg, 150mm length, 82mm width).

Step 2: Mounting Options

Two primary mounting options are presented:

  • Option A: Luminaire suspended by a chain or cable, connected to the sensor unit. Requires M6*10 screws and at least one suspension point (≥1x).
  • Option B: Luminaire suspended by a cable, connected to the sensor unit. Requires M6 screws and at least one suspension point (≥1x).

Wiring: The sensor requires a 1-10 Volt dimming control and a 220-240 Volt power supply. Diagrams show correct ✔️ and incorrect ❌ wiring for the 1-10 Volt connection.

Step 3: Attaching the Sensor

Align the sensor unit with the luminaire and secure it using two M6*10 screws.

Step 4: Electrical Connections

Power: Connect the N (Neutral), L (Live) wires for the 220-240V supply. Ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position before making connections. A warning symbol ⚠️ indicates caution is required.

Dimming: Connect the 1-10 Volt control wires.

Step 5: Mounting the HB Bracket

The HB Bracket is used for mounting the sensor. It has specific dimensions (d=82mm, length 138mm, height 35mm, width 23.3mm). Use the provided M4*6 screws and washers to attach the bracket to the mounting surface.

Visual Description: Diagrams show the bracket, screws, and washers, illustrating the attachment process.

Step 6: Securing the Bracket

Mount the bracket to the ceiling or support structure using appropriate screws. A checkmark ✔️ indicates a correct installation.

Step 7: Final Wiring and Power On

Complete the N, L, and 1-10 Volt wiring connections. Turn the power switch to the 'ON' position.

Step 8: Sensor Angle Adjustment

The sensor can be adjusted to different angles for optimal detection. The diagrams show how to set the sensor to 90° and 45° using adjustment screws.

Step 9: Final Positioning

Ensure the sensor is correctly positioned according to the mounting angle (90° or 45°). Diagrams show correct ✔️ and incorrect ❌ orientations.

Step 10: Sensor Settings

The sensor's functionality can be configured using the HB Remote Control. Key settings include:

  • Detection Area: 100% or 50% coverage.
  • Hold Time: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, or 10 minutes.
  • Daylight Sensor: Disable or set to 100 LUX.
  • Dimming Level: 50% or 100%.

Visual Description: A diagram illustrates the detection area coverage at different distances and intensity levels.

Step 11: Assembling with Reflectors/Refractors

Follow the diagrams for attaching the HB ALU REFLECTOR or HB PC REFRACTOR to the sensor unit. This typically involves aligning the component and securing it with screws (e.g., M4*6 for ALU, M4*8 for PC).

Visual Description: Steps show the process of attaching reflectors/refractors using screws and clips, with a final checkmark ✔️ for correct assembly.
