Devolo WiFi Repeater+ ac Installation

First Steps

There are two primary methods for configuring your Devolo WiFi Repeater+ ac:

Method A: Configuration via the devolo Home Network app.
Method B: Configuration using the WPS button.

Important Notes for Installation:

Your router's Wi-Fi network (SSID) must be visible.
The MAC filter should be disabled during the installation process.

Method A: Installation via App

Download the devolo Home Network app to begin the guided installation process. The app will lead you step-by-step through the configuration.

The app provides a visual representation of the setup process, showing the connection between your router and the repeater.

Method B: Installation without App

B1: Plug-in

Plug the devolo WiFi Repeater+ ac adapter into an available power socket. Wait approximately 80 seconds until the WPS LED flashes white quickly. This indicates the device is ready for the next step.

B2: Waiting Period

Allow approximately 80 seconds for the repeater to initialize.

B3: Positioning

Place the repeater in a suitable location.

B4: WPS Configuration

Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your devolo WiFi Repeater+ ac, and then press the WPS button on your WiFi router. Refer to your router's manual for the specific duration required for its WPS button.

B5: Optimal Location

Once the connection is successfully established, position your devolo WiFi Repeater+ ac halfway between your Wi-Fi router and your Wi-Fi devices for optimal performance.

LED Status and Functions

The LEDs on the devolo WiFi Repeater+ ac provide information about its status:

WPS Button

1-2 second press: The repeater connects to the router. The WPS LED flashes slowly white for a maximum of 2 minutes.
Repeater Status:
- Flashes slowly white (max 2 min): Configuring via WPS button.
- Lights up red: Lost connection to the originating Wi-Fi. Check router's Wi-Fi.
- Lights up red: In start-up process (max 80 seconds).
- Flashes slowly white: Successfully configured.
- Lights up white: Successfully set up and connection is in good state.
- Flashes white and red alternately: No optimal data transmission rate. Check the app for more information.
- Lights up white: In Access Point mode.

Wi-Fi Button

1 second press: WPS function is being carried out. The Wi-Fi LED flashes white.
Repeater Status:
- Lights up white: Ready for use by mobile devices.
- Flashes white: Attempting to establish a connection via WPS.
- Off: No LED function (disabled by user).
- Flashes quickly: Performing a firmware update.
