Tips for Best Results

• Ensure acrylic paints and modeling paste are thoroughly mixed and blended.
• Allow the first coat of base color to dry completely before applying subsequent layers of paint.
• Adjust the mixture consistency using the back of a plastic knife to achieve the desired shape and fullness.
• Avoid touching the completed artwork until it is entirely dry.
• Wearing gloves is recommended during the process.

How To Make A Texture Canvas Art

Follow these steps to create your textured canvas art:

Step 1: Apply Base Color

Paint the base color onto the canvas and allow it to dry completely.

Step 2: Mix Modeling Paste and Paint

Combine modeling paste with your chosen acrylic paint colors. Mix thoroughly until blended. For brighter colors, add more paint; for a lighter consistency, add more modeling paste.

Step 3: Prepare Paste Mixture

Take a portion of the mixed modeling paste onto a flat surface and prepare it for application.

Step 4: Scoop Paste

Form the mixture into a shape and scoop it onto the back of a palette knife, ready to be applied to the canvas.

Step 5: Apply and Create Texture

Apply the modeling paste to the canvas. Gently press down and slide the knife away to create an indent, forming a petal or leaf shape. Work from the corners towards the center.

Step 6: Finalize and Dry

Cover the canvas with various petal and leaf colors using the applied paste. Allow the artwork to dry completely for 24 hours before displaying.
