Before First Use

Before using the appliance for the first time, please follow these steps:

  • Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging material. Keep packaging out of reach of children.
  • Check the appliance for any visible damage that may have occurred during transport.
  • Place the kettle on a stable and heat-resistant surface.
  • The minimum water filling volume is 0.5 litres. The maximum filling volume is 1.7 litres.
  • Prior to use, fill the appliance twice to the maximum level and bring the water to the boil. Discard the boiled water and rinse the appliance with cold water. The appliance is now ready for use.
  • The water cooker is only suitable for boiling and heating water. Never fill the water cooker with milk, tea, coffee, or other instant drinks.

Heating or Boiling Water

  1. Check that the voltage indicated on the appliance's information plate matches the voltage used in your region.
  2. Place the power base on a flat, stable surface. Insert the plug into an earthed wall socket.
  3. Place the kettle on the base. Excess cord can be stored by rolling it up underneath the base.
  4. Open the lid by pressing the button.
  5. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water and close the lid securely.
  6. Place the kettle on the power base, ensuring the plug is in the socket.
  7. Press the on/off key once to boil the water.
  8. To heat water to a specific temperature, press the +/- key to select the desired temperature (50-70-80-90°C). Then press the on/off key again to heat the water to the set temperature.
  9. The kettle will automatically switch off once the water boils or reaches the set temperature.

Caution: Never switch on the water cooker when it contains no water. If accidentally switched on without water, the boil-dry safeguard will automatically switch off the kettle. In this case, remove the kettle from the base and allow it to cool for a few minutes before refilling and switching it on again. Ensure the lid is correctly placed; otherwise, the automatic shut-off may not function.

Heat Mode

If required, the heat mode can be activated to keep the water at the set temperature (50-70-80-90°C) for 30 minutes.

  • To activate the heat mode, follow the steps in section 4.
  • Instead of a brief press on the on/off key, press and hold the on/off key for 2 seconds.
  • The kettle will heat the water to the set temperature and maintain it for 30 minutes. The LED light will remain illuminated to indicate that the heat mode is active.
  • After 30 minutes, the kettle will automatically switch off and the water will cool.
  • When the kettle is removed from the base, it will automatically switch off completely.

Switching the Water Cooker Off

The water cooker automatically switches off once the set temperature is reached. It can also be switched off manually at any time using the on/off key. If the kettle is removed from the base while boiling, it will also switch off automatically.

Caution: It is possible for a small amount of condensation to remain on the edge of the power base. This is normal and does not affect the function of the water cooker.

De-scaling

Scale may form on the inside of the water cooker. If you have hard water, occasional de-scaling may be necessary. Use a suitable de-scaling agent for kettles/coffee machines and follow the instructions provided. Alternatively, de-scale using lemon juice; the citric acid helps remove scale. Fill the kettle halfway with hot water, add the juice of half a lemon, boil, and let it cool for 30 minutes. Discard the water and rinse the kettle. Never clean the appliance with cleaning agents, as they can damage the kettle.

To remove the anti-scale filter for cleaning, remove the kettle from the base and allow it to cool. Do not remove the filter if the kettle is hot or filled with water. Pull the filter towards the rear, away from the spout, and clean it with hot water. When replacing the filter, ensure it is properly attached to the spout. First, position the point of the filter, then press the top part of the filter firmly into place using the clamp. Never place the anti-scale filter loosely in the kettle.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean the water cooker regularly for optimal performance. Never submerge the kettle or its base in water or any other liquid. Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down. Wipe the exterior regularly with a damp cloth. Never use detergents or abrasive cleaning agents.
