Before Getting Started: Compatibility Check

  1. VESA Pattern Compatibility

    Ensure your TV's VESA pattern is compatible. The minimum compatible VESA pattern is 200mm (W) x 100mm (H), and the maximum is 600mm (W) x 400mm (H).

    Conversions: 100mm = 3.9", 200mm = 7.9", 300mm = 11.8", 400mm = 15.7", 500mm = 19.7", 600mm = 23.6".

If your TV is not compatible, contact Perlegear Technical Support or customer service at support@perlegear.com.

  2. Maximum Load Capacity

The mount supports a maximum load of 100 lbs (45kg). WARNING: Do not use with products heavier than the maximum load, as this could result in mount failure, damage, or injury.

  3. Wall Type Compatibility

This mount is designed for installation in wood studs, solid concrete, concrete block, and brick walls. DO NOT install in drywall alone.

If you are unsure about your wall type or need guidance for other wall structures, contact Perlegear Technical Support or customer service.

Installation Steps

STEP 1: Attaching the TV Brackets to Your TV

Select TV Bolts: Hand-thread bolts into your TV's threaded inserts to determine the correct size (M4, M6, or M8). Ensure at least five turns and do not overtighten.

Spacer and Bolt Configurations:

  • Option A: For Flat Back TVs: Add spacers if needed to ensure proper bolt length and fit against the TV back.
  • Option B: For Curved Back TVs: Use spacers tall enough to prevent the TV's curve from interfering with the mounting plate.
  • Option C: For TVs with a Bump: Ensure brackets are flush on the bump and level using spacers in the gap.
  • Option D: For TVs with Protruding Cables: Use spacers to create clearance between the TV and brackets.
  • Option E: For TVs with Recessed Holes: Use spacers to fill recessed holes, keeping brackets as close to the TV as possible.

CAUTION: Ensure the TV brackets [01] are oriented correctly (round holes towards the top) and are centered and securely fastened to the TV.

Note: Do not overtighten screws when attaching brackets to the TV.

STEP 2: Mounting the Arm Assembly / Wall Plate on the Wall

Option A: Mounting on Wood Stud Walls

IMPORTANT: Maximum horizontal distance between fasteners is 16" (406mm).

  • WARNING: Tighten lag screws [A1] until firmly against the wall plate (DO NOT overtighten). Use a socket wrench, not a drill. Do not use wall anchors [A2] for this option.
  • Wall covering thickness must not exceed 5/8" (16mm).
  • Minimum wood stud size: 1 1/2" W x 3 1/2" D (38mm x 89mm).
  • Wood stud spacing: 10" to 16" (center to center).
  • Note: If studs are more than 16" apart or not in the desired location, attach wood boards (min. 1 1/2" T x 3 1/2" W x >18" L) to the studs first, then mount the TV mount to the boards.
  1. Position the wall plate template [02] at the desired height. Use a level [03] to ensure it is straight. Mark the hole locations.
  2. Use a stud finder or awl to locate wood studs. Mark the edge and center positions.
  3. Drill four pilot holes using a 7/32" (5.5mm) drill bit to a depth of at least 2 3/4" (70mm).
  4. Mount the arm assembly / wall plate [04] using lag screws [A1]. Tighten securely with a socket wrench.

Option B: Mounting on Solid Concrete, Concrete Block, or Brick Walls

WARNING: Tighten lag screws [A1] until firmly against the wall plate (DO NOT overtighten). Use wall anchors [A2] for this option. Mount directly on the concrete surface. Never mount in the mortar between blocks or bricks.

  • Minimum solid concrete thickness: 8" (203mm).
  • Minimum concrete block size: 8" x 8" x 16" (203mm x 203mm x 406mm).
  1. Position the wall plate template [02] at the desired height. Use a level [03] to ensure it is straight. Mark the hole locations.
  2. Drill four pilot holes using a 3/8" (10mm) drill bit to a depth of at least 3" (75mm).
  3. Use a hammer to insert the wall anchors [A2] into the drilled holes until flush with the surface.
  4. HEAVY! Assistance may be needed. Mount the arm assembly / wall plate [04] using lag screws [A1] and anchors [A2]. Tighten securely with a socket wrench.

STEP 3: Testing TV Wall Mount Installation

Before hanging the TV, pull down on the mount with your hands to ensure it is securely installed. It should withstand a downward force of 100 lbs (45kg).

STEP 4: Extending the Front Support (Optional)

If the horizontal distance between the TV's VESA holes is greater than 300mm (11.8"), extend the front support bars. Grip the end caps and pull the extension bars out until the spring clips lock. Secure the extended bars with bolts [H] using a Phillips screwdriver.

If the horizontal distance is less than or equal to 11.8" (300mm), bolts [H] are not required.

STEP 5: Mounting the TV on the Arm Assembly / Wall Plate

Hang the TV onto the arm assembly / wall plate using the attached brackets. Flip up the safety locks and fasten them with bolts [G1] (for extended support) or [G2] (for non-extended support) using a Phillips screwdriver.

CAUTION: Do not overtighten or loosen the safety locks.

STEP 6: Adjusting the Tilt Angle

Turn the lever handle [T] 90 degrees. Slightly loosen the lever [T], adjust the TV to the desired tilt angle, and then retighten the lever [T] to lock the angle.

STEP 7: Adjusting the Leveling of the TV

If needed, the TV can be leveled. Slightly loosen the four leveling nuts [L] with a 7/16" (11mm) socket wrench. Level your TV and then retighten the leveling nuts [L] to secure the TV's position.

Optional: Attaching Foam Pads

Attach the foam pads [I] to the designated areas on the arm assembly for added protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION 1: What should I do if my stud spacing is greater than 16" or if I can't center the mount on the wood studs?

  • Option A: Hardwood Boards: Purchase and securely attach two hardwood boards (min. 1 1/2" T x 3 1/2" W) long enough to span between studs. Then, securely attach the TV Wall Mount to these boards using lag screws [A1] (or self-supplied 1/2" x 4" screws). Ensure boards and studs can support four times the combined weight.
  • Option B: Extension Brackets: Contact Perlegear customer service at support@perlegear.com for a free set of extension brackets. Attach these to the TV Wall Mount and then install the mount onto the wood studs.

QUESTION 2: How do I find the right height for mounting the TV?

The simplest method is to position the TV so its center is at your eye level while viewing. A video guide is available via QR code for more detailed instructions.

QUESTION 3: How can I raise/lower the TV if the TV Wall Mount is already fixed on the wall?

  1. Remove the TV from the mount.
  2. Remove the TV brackets from the TV.
  3. Reattach the TV brackets using the upper holes to raise the TV, or the lower holes to lower the TV.
  4. Remount the TV onto the TV Wall Mount.

QUESTION 4: It's too hard to adjust the swivel angle or extension of the TV Wall Mount.

  1. If the TV is not yet mounted, attach it to the mount first. Moving the mount while holding the TV is easier.
  2. If adjustment remains difficult, lubricate the arm joints with a few drops of machine oil.
