Important Safety Instructions
Read all instructions carefully before use. These precautions will reduce the risk of electrical shock, fire, and injury to persons. When using kitchen appliances, basic safety precautions must be followed.

General Information
- Read and understand all instructions before using the appliance.
- Keep documents for future reference or for the next owner.
- Do not connect if damaged in transit.
- Use only authorized service providers and original parts for repairs.
- NSF/ANSI 184 Certified dishwashers are not for licensed food establishments.
Intended Use
- For cleaning household dishware.
- Use in private households and enclosed residential environments.
- Operate up to an altitude of 13,100 ft (4000 m).
Restrictive Use
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
Grounding Instructions
This appliance must be grounded. Improper connection can result in electric shock. Ensure proper grounding by a qualified electrician if in doubt.
Safe Use
- Read all instructions before using.
- Use only for its intended function: washing dishwasher-safe household dishware and kitchenware.
- Use only recommended detergents and rinse aids; keep out of reach of children.
- Do not abuse, sit, or stand on the door or dish racks.
Hydrogen Gas Warning
Under certain conditions (e.g., unused hot water system for two weeks or more), hydrogen gas may be produced, which is explosive. Before using, turn on hot water faucets for several minutes to release accumulated gas. Do not smoke or use open flames during this process.
Electrical Shock Prevention
- Use only in enclosed residential space as per the installation manual.
- Never expose to intense heat or humidity.
- Do not use steam cleaners or high-pressure cleaners.
Loading Safety
- Locate sharp items to avoid damaging the door seal.
- Load knives and sharp utensils with handles up to reduce cut injuries.
- Do not wash plastic items unless marked "dishwasher safe" or equivalent. Check manufacturer recommendations for unmarked plastic items.
- Ensure all enclosure panels are in place before operating.
- Do not tamper with controls or interlocks.
Care and Operation Safety
- Follow detergent and rinse aid product label instructions.
- Do not use harsh chemicals like bleach-based products, as they can damage the dishwasher and pose health hazards.
- Use caution when opening the door during or after a wash cycle due to hot water or steam. Wait for water noises to stop and steam to subside before fully opening.
- Prevent floor damage and mold growth by keeping the area around and under the dishwasher dry.
NOTICE: Water and power shut off: It is recommended to familiarize yourself with procedures to shut off incoming water and power supplies. Refer to installation instructions or contact your installer.
Risk to Children
- Do not allow children to play in or on the dishwasher.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for instructing children on safe usage when they are old enough to operate the appliance.
- Remove the dishwasher door when discarding or servicing an old unit.

Getting Started
Download the Home Connect® app to access the full Use and Care Manual or visit www.bosch-home.com/us/service/get-support/owner-manuals. Enter your Model Number found inside the dishwasher door.
Tip: Connect your appliance to the Home Connect® app to conveniently adjust settings and download additional cycles and options.
Important: After pressing Start, close the door within 4 seconds to avoid pausing the operation. If the door remains open for more than 4 seconds or there is any interruption, press Start again to prevent unintentional operation.
2.1 Add Detergent
Use detergent tabs, fresh powdered, or liquid detergent. For quick cycles, powdered or liquid detergent is recommended. The dispenser lid should slide closed easily.

To close the cover, push until it clicks.
2.2 Add Rinse Aid
Rinse aid enhances drying results and shine. Remove the bottle lid for easier pouring and to avoid the air vent.
NOTICE: The amount of rinse aid dispensed can be adjusted in the settings. Adjust if streaks remain on dishes (lower amount) or if dishes are not drying enough (increase amount).
2.3 Start Your Dishwasher
- Press the On/Off button briefly (1 second press).
- Select a cycle and desired options.
- Press Start.
Note: All buttons have touch control and require a short, gentle touch.

WARNING:
- Load sharp items (knives, skewers, etc.) pointing down to prevent injury.
- Open the door cautiously during or after a wash cycle as hot water or steam may escape. Do not fully open until water noises have stopped and steam has subsided.
3.2 Maintenance Tips
- Clean surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. NOTICE: Do not use abrasives, bleach-based cleaners, or stainless steel cleaner on black stainless or anti-fingerprint surfaces.
- Clean the filter 3-12 times a year, depending on usage. [Scan QR code for how to clean the filter.]

- Run the Machine Care program periodically to keep the tub clean. This is accessible via the Home Connect® app.
3.3 Usage Tips for Best Results
- Use rinse aid.
- Scrape food off dishes, do not rinse.
- Use the Rackmatic® feature to adjust the upper rack height for larger items by pushing in the side levers.

5 Settings
5.1 Available Settings

5.2 Adjusting the Settings
First Steps: Open door, press ON/OFF. Hold Button A for 3 seconds until Rinse Aid indicator flashes. Release button, then follow steps.
To adjust Rinse Aid:
- Press Start repeatedly until desired setting is shown (LEDs 0-3 indicate level).
- Press and hold Button A for 3 seconds to save.
To turn on Intensive Drying:
- Press Button A until Clean and Sanitize lights flash.
- Press Start until one LED above the Heavy cycle button is lit (intensive dry is on).
- Press and hold Button A for 3 seconds to save.
To adjust Signal Volume:
- Press Button A until Clean and Rinse Aid lights flash.
- Press Start repeatedly until desired volume level is selected (LEDs 0-3 indicate level).
- Press and hold Button A for 3 seconds to save.
To Reset to Factory Settings:
- Press Button A until Clean, Sanitize, and Rinse Aid lights flash.
- Press Start. The 3 LEDs above cycle buttons will blink for 1 minute. Factory settings are restored.
Tip: The easiest way to change settings is via the Home Connect® app.
6 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Why is food remaining on dishes after I run the cycle?
- Ensure adequate clearance between dishes.
- Make sure nothing is blocking the spray arms.
- Check that the filter is clean.
- Select the Heavy cleaning cycle.
Q: Why does the cycle run a long time?
- Sensors automatically increase cycle time for heavy soil to ensure a good wash.
- Incoming water may not be hot enough, requiring the dishwasher to heat it.
