Installation Details

The appliance requires a cutout of 33 7/8 inches (860 mm) high by 24 inches (610 mm) wide and 23 3/4 inches (598 mm) deep. The overall appliance dimensions are 33 7/8 inches (860 mm) to 35 inches (890 mm) high, 23 9/16 inches (600 mm) wide, and 23 3/4 inches (598 mm) deep.

Connections for water inlet, drain hose, and power cord are located at the rear of the appliance. The included power cord is a 3-prong plug.

The drain hose is pre-connected and has a length of 79 inches (201 cm). An extension kit (SGZ1010UC) is available to extend the drain hose up to a maximum of 155 3/4 inches (396 cm). Plumbing installations should adhere to local codes. Ensure a portion of the drain hose is raised between a minimum of 33 inches (84 cm) and a maximum of 43 inches (110 cm) above the cabinet floor.

A junction box for hard-wired connections is available as an accessory (SMZPCJB1UC).

Cutouts in the cabinet wall may be required on the left or right side, depending on the placement of water inlet, drain, and electrical connections.

The power cord length shown according to installation instructions is 67 inches (1700 mm) for the front view, with drain hose length at 63 inches (1600 mm). The electrical power cord length is specified as 45 inches (1140 mm) from the left edge and 56 inches (1422 mm) from the right edge when facing the door.

The drain hose requires a non-metallic tie. The hose must be routed with a minimum height of 33 inches (84 cm) and a maximum height of 43 inches (110 cm) above the cabinet floor.
