- NSF/ANSI 184 Certified residential dishwashers are not for licensed food establishments.
Intended Use
- For cleaning household dishware.
- For use in private households and enclosed residential spaces.
- Suitable for use up to an altitude of 13,100 ft (4000 m) above sea level.
Restrictive Use
This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
Grounding Instructions
This appliance must be grounded. Improper connection can result in electric shock. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
Safe Use
- Read all instructions before using.
- Use only for washing dishwasher-safe household dishware.
- Use only recommended detergents and rinse aids; keep out of reach of children.
- Do not sit or stand on the door or dish racks.
- Use caution when opening the door during or after a wash cycle due to hot water and steam. Wait for steam to subside.
- Prevent floor damage and mold growth by keeping the area around and under the dishwasher dry.
- Water and power shut off: Familiarize yourself with how to shut off water and power supplies. Refer to installation instructions or contact your installer.
Risk to Children
- Do not allow children to play in or on the dishwasher.
- Ensure children are instructed in safe practices by a qualified person when they are old enough to operate the appliance.
- Remove the dishwasher door when removing an old dishwasher for service or disposal.

Getting Started
Add Detergent
Use detergent tabs, powder, or liquid detergent. For quick cycles, powder or liquid is recommended.
Tip: The dispenser lid should slide closed easily.
To close the cover, push until it clicks.
Add Rinse Aid
Rinse aid enhances drying and shine. Remove the bottle cap and avoid the air vent for easier pouring.
NOTICE: Adjust rinse aid dispensing in settings if streaks remain on dishes (lower amount) or dishes are not dry enough (increase amount).
Start Your Dishwasher
- Press the On/Off button (short press).
- Select a cycle and options.
- Press Start.
Note: All buttons are touch-sensitive and require a gentle touch.
Important: After pressing Start, the door must be shut within 4 seconds. If the door remains open or a cycle is interrupted, press Start again to prevent unintentional operation.

Loading Tips
Scan the QR code for a video on best loading practices.
- WARNING: Load sharp items (knives, skewers) pointing down to prevent injury.
- Use caution when opening the door during or after a wash cycle due to hot water and steam.
Maintenance Tips
- Clean surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. NOTICE: Do not use abrasive or bleach-based cleaners. Avoid stainless steel cleaner on black stainless or anti-fingerprint surfaces.
- Clean the filter 3-12 times a year, depending on usage.
- Run the Machine Care program (accessible via Home Connect app) to keep the tub clean.
Usage Tips
- Use rinse aid.
- Scrape food off, do not rinse.
- Use the Rackmatic® feature to adjust the upper rack height for larger items by pushing in the side levers.
Cycles and Options
The control panel includes indicators for Salt refill, Rinse aid refill, Water tap, Machine care, and WiFi. Buttons include On/Off, settings adjustment, Start/resume, and options like Sanitize, CrystalDry™, PowerControl (front/back/custom), HalfLoad, Eco, and Delay start.

Note: Energy Guide label is based on the Normal cycle, tested without rinse aid, with one dose of detergent, and no prewash detergent.

Adjusting the Settings
- Press the power button.
- Hold button A for 3 seconds to access the settings menu.
- Press button A repeatedly to select the desired setting.
- Press Start to change the value.
- Press button A to save the setting.
Tip: Use the Home Connect app for the simplest way to change settings.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- Q: Why is food remaining on dishes?
Dishes may not have adequate clearance, spray arms may be blocked, or the filter may be dirty. Select the Heavy cleaning cycle. - Q: Why does the cycle run a long time?
Sensors may increase cycle time for heavy soil. Incoming water may not be hot enough, requiring the dishwasher to heat it. - Q: Why is E:XX displayed?
This is an error code. E:22 indicates water in the sump due to a blocked filter. See the Use and Care Manual or visit bosch-home.com/us/owner-support/get-support/general-error-codes for a list of error codes.
