R. STAHL LS Miniature Circuit Breaker 8530/1-MCB-STA103-B40-000-3
Article No.: 272167
Product Overview
The R. STAHL 8530/1-MCB-STA103-B40-000-3 is an LS miniature circuit breaker designed for system technology applications. It offers good current limitation for short circuits and a high breaking capacity of 10, 15, or 25 kA, resulting in reduced stress on cables and high selectivity with upstream fuses. The modular design allows for 1- to 4-pole versions and nominal currents from 0.5 to 63 A. The maximum installation capacity is 4.5 modules (TE).
Key features include:
- Trennerfunktion according to EN 60947-2
- Energy limitation class 3
- Easy replacement or expansion of installations due to modular design
- Simple mounting by snapping onto top-hat rails in Ex e enclosures
- Fixed thermal and magnetic trip units
- Ergonomically shaped operating lever for secure switching
- Protection against re-switching during maintenance using padlocks (accessory)

Technical Drawings and Diagrams
Trip Characteristic B: The document includes a graph illustrating the trip characteristic 'B' for the circuit breaker, showing the relationship between the multiple of the rated current (I/In) and the tripping time in seconds for both AC and DC. It indicates the limit curve from a cold state.
Dimensional Drawings: Detailed drawings show the dimensions of the circuit breaker in millimeters and inches. These include:
- Overall dimensions of the unit (83 mm width, 165 mm length, 138.3 mm installation depth).
- Details of the connection terminals.
- A 3-pole configuration without auxiliary contacts.
- A 3-pole configuration with auxiliary contacts.
