The receiver supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies.

MusicCast Compatibility with Zone 2 Link Master Function

MusicCast employs a high performance wireless network to deliver music and audio enjoyment. It can stream digital music content from a smartphone, PC, or NAS to other MusicCast devices and external devices such as a TV or Blu-ray Disc™ player connected to the RX-V683. Additionally, Zone 2 Link Master allows enjoyment of sound playing in Zone 2 in other MusicCast rooms, even when the main zone is powered off. The system supports various sources including TV Programme, Blu-ray, CD, and MusicCast App integration.

YPAO™ R.S.C (Reflected Sound Control) and YPAO™ Volume

YPAO analyzes room acoustics and the system, then precisely adjusts various audio parameters to provide optimum sound. YPAO R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) enhances sound to studio-grade quality. YPAO Volume automatically adjusts high and low frequency levels at any volume level so that natural sounds are heard even at low volume. A diagram illustrates the YPAO Volume effect, showing how it maintains a balanced frequency response at low listening levels compared to when it is off.
