5. Pumping

5.1 Assembly

Before use, ensure all parts are installed correctly.

  1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
  2. Put the silicone diaphragm into the linker and apply mild pressure around the edge until the diaphragm seats well with the linker.
  3. Connect the silicone valve to the end of the linker, and apply mild pressure around the edge until it fits onto the linker securely.
  4. Put the assembled linker part into the milk collector, and align the 'ear' notch with the inner groove of the milk collector.
  5. Connect the main body. Make sure that the flange fits securely.
  6. Insert the cylindrical protrusion located on the milk collector into the circular hole on the pump motor. Align the arrow on the milk collector with the notch on the pump motor.

5.2 Alignment

To ensure proper pumping, make sure the pump is pressed tightly on your breast without a gap.

  1. To align, hold the flange against your breast so you can see if your nipple is centered in the flange tunnel. You may need to bend forward.
  2. After alignment, look through the flange to confirm your nipple is centered before connecting the pump. The tip of your nipple should not rub or touch the inner wall of the flange tunnel. If it does, try again.
