STEP 1: Prepare the door and check dimensions
If drilling a new door, use the supplied template and complete door drilling instructions.
- Measure to confirm the hole in the door is 2-1/8" (54 mm).
- Measure to confirm the backset is either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60 or 70 mm).
- Measure to confirm the hole in the door edge is 1" (25 mm).
- Measure to confirm the thickness of the door is between 1-3/8" and 2" (35mm and 50mm).
STEP 2: Install the latch and strike
- Insert the latch bolt into the door:
- Ensure the T-shaped hole is in the bottom position.
- If the latch bolt is not retracted, twist it to adjust the length.
- Proceed to the next step.
- Install strike on the door frame:
- Make sure the hole in the door frame is drilled a minimum of 1" (25mm) deep.
STEP 3: Install the exterior assembly
- Route the cable through the door below the bolt.
- Push the keypad onto the door.
- Note: The key must be pulled out when installing.
STEP 4: Install the interior assembly
- Remove the mounting plate by loosening the two screws.
- Route the cable through the bottom of the mounting plate.
- Tighten screws evenly.
- Ensure a tight cable connection. The smooth side of the plug should be at the bottom.
- Tighten screws evenly.
- Note: Support the exterior assembly during mounting plate installation.
- Testing: Insert key and test latch. If the latch does not extend or retract smoothly, adjust the mounting plate screws.
- Troubleshooting: If the keypad and mounting plate have deflection, loosen mounting plate screws and adjust.
STEP 5: Install the batteries and perform the door handing process
Note: Do not use rechargeable batteries or Non-alkaline batteries.
- Install 4 AA batteries in the battery pack. The batteries are not included.
- Perform the door handing process: Press the button, and the latch bolt extends by itself.
Troubleshooting: If the latch bolt extends or retracts not smoothly, check the latch and re-install the lock.
- Successful: Green light, 2 beeps.
- Unsuccessful: Red light, 3 beeps.
Make sure the door is unlocked and that you are using a fresh set of batteries.

The Tuya APP is available for iOS and Android devices, free of charge. You can set up, operate, and control all your Kingforce products with the Tuya app.

Two methods to download Tuya App:
- Method 1: Scan the QR code to download the Tuya App.
- Method 2: Search "Tuya Smart" in the App Store or Android App store to download.
Connect smart lock
Turn on Bluetooth and the mobile network ➔ Auto Scan ➔ Choose Smart Lock ➔ Connecting ➔ Added Successfully.
Attention: The smart lock and the phone can only have a one-to-one connection at the same time. If your phone is connecting with the smart lock, another phone cannot connect.

How to set up a new entrance
Me ➔ Home Management ➔ Create a Home ➔ Add Member.
- Step 1: Invite your members to family with an invite code via Tuya account, WeChat, and SMS.
- Step 2: Control smart lock (Two ways)
- Administrator: Home ➔ Member management ➔ Open mode ➔ Password ➔ Create a password to members.
- Users: Control smart lock by swiping phone.
- Step 3: Set up a new entrance successfully.
How to modify password
Home ➔ Member management ➔ Open mode ➔ Password ➔ Update ➔ Change password.
How to delete password
Home ➔ Member management ➔ Open mode ➔ Password ➔ Delete.
How to set delay time
Settings ➔ Auto ➔ locking(open) ➔ Delay time.
How should I do if I can't connect to smart lock
Restart the Bluetooth, and try again.
How many passwords can be added
Up to ten passwords can be added.
Keypad Layout:
- Light indicator
- Buttons: 0-9, *, #
- Functions: Lock and Clear, Unlock
- SET button
Protection Mode
If you enter the wrong code 5 times, the keypad will be locked for 90 seconds. You will hear 3 beeps and see 3 red lights when you press any button.
How to exit protection mode:
- Option 1: Wait for 90 seconds.
- Option 2: Remove the battery for more than 5 seconds, then reinsert it.
Factory default reset
A factory reset will delete all codes associated with the lock.
- Open the battery cover.
- Keep pressing the SET button for more than 5 seconds until the lock beeps 5 times and the light flashes blue 5 times. Then, the lock will beep once and flash green once, indicating a successful reset.

Prepare Door And Jamb
1. TEMPLATE
- a. Cut out the template printed in this Manual (Figure 1a).
- b. Fold the template and place it on the door 36" (915mm) from the ground as marked (Figure 1b).
2. MARK THE DOOR FOR DRILLING
- a. Mark the center hole on the door edge through guidance on the template for a 1" (25mm) latch bolt (Figure 2a).
- b. Mark the center hole on the door face through guidance on the template for a 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm) backset (Figure 2b).
3. DRILL AND CHISEL DOOR
- a. Drill a 2-1/8" (54mm) hole through the door panel as marked for the lock set (Figure 3a).
- b. Drill a 1" (25mm) hole in the center of the door edge for the Deadbolt Latch Assembly (Figure 3b).
- c. Insert the Deadbolt Latch Assembly into the hole, keeping it parallel to the face of the door. Mark the outline and remove the latch (Figure 3c).
- d. Chisel 5/32" (4mm) deep or until the latch face is flush with the door edge (Figure 3d).
NOTE: For Drive-in Latch, use the drill hole size indicated on the template and press until it is flush with the door edge.
4. MARK AND DRILL DOOR JAMB
- a. Mark the center hole on the edge of the jamb even with the center of the Latch Bolt on the door edge (Figure 4a).
- b. Drill a 1" (25mm) hole, 1-3/16" (30mm) deep, in the door jamb on the center mark (Figure 4b).
- c. Outline the outside edges of the Strike Plate (Figure 4c).
- d. Chisel 5/32" (4mm) deep for the Strike Plate or until it is flushed (Figure 4d).
- e. Install the Strike Plate using two 3/4" (19mm) screws provided (Figure 4e).
