TROUBLESHOOTING
I can't pair the keyboard with my device.
- Ensure your device is Bluetooth wireless-enabled. The K480 is not compatible with Logitech Unifying receivers.
- Restart your device and try pairing again on the original or another channel.
- Windows: Confirm device settings accept Bluetooth connections (Allow devices to find/connect, Alert when a device wants to connect).
- Verify your device supports an external keyboard (HID profile).
- Note: Windows may require software updates after a new Bluetooth connection. Wait at least 20 minutes after pairing for updates to complete.
My keyboard isn't working.
- Confirm the correct channel is selected.
- Press any key to wake the keyboard from sleep mode.
- Turn the keyboard off and back on.
- Windows: Turn Bluetooth wireless off, restart the computer, then turn Bluetooth back on.

- On the device: Go to Bluetooth Wireless settings, "forget" the Logitech Keyboard K480, turn off Bluetooth, restart the device, turn Bluetooth back on, and re-pair.
My keyboard stopped working, or works only intermittently.
- This is often due to a lost Bluetooth wireless connection. Environmental factors can cause connection failure.
- Check keyboard batteries.
- Ensure the keyboard is not on a metal surface that could interfere with the signal.
- Verify no other wireless sources are interfering. Potential sources include wireless speakers, power supplies, monitors, cell phones, and garage door openers.
- Keep other electrical devices at least 8 inches (20 cm) from the keyboard and your device.
- Try moving the keyboard closer to the computer or mobile device.
My keyboard doesn't work after the connected PC wakes from sleep mode.
- On the PC: Change Bluetooth wireless adapter power settings. Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System > Device Manager. In Bluetooth Radios, right-click the Bluetooth wireless adapter, click Properties, go to the Power Management tab, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." Click OK and restart the PC.
The characters I'm typing don't match the key labels.
- Ensure you used the correct Bluetooth wireless connect button for pairing.
- Review the "Pair the keyboard with a device" instructions in FIRST-TIME SETUP.
- If the status light next to the connect button blinks after selecting a paired device, and you used the wrong button for pairing, re-pair the device by holding down the other connect button until its status light starts blinking.
