1. Initial Setup
Follow these steps for the initial setup of your generator.
1.1 Removing Original Support Feet

- If you need to move the generator on uneven ground, it is recommended to remove the original support feet near the muffler. Skip this step if not necessary.
- Place a wooden or rubber pad of the same height as the support foot under the generator to prevent it from tilting backward when removing the support feet.

2.2 Control Panel
1. Engine Switch: Used to start or stop the generator.
2. USB-C Port: Connect the remote control to update firmware and export logs.
3. AC Output: The output meets IP44 protection rating. Ensure the output cover is reinstalled and secured when not in use.
4. Ground Terminal: Use a grounding cable to connect the ground terminal to the earth. Proper grounding can help prevent electric shock in case of malfunction.
- Rated AC output power varies by country and region. Consult official support or an authorized dealer for details. The AC frequency can be set to 50 Hz or 60 Hz in the app to ensure safe operation of your electrical appliances and prevent potential damage. Choose the appropriate frequency according to the requirements of your electrical appliances.
2.3 LED Status Indicators
1. Charging Channel Status Indicator (LED)
- Solid Yellow: Battery connected and ready for charging.
- Flashing Green (once per second): Charging.
- Solid Green: Fully charged.
- Flashing Yellow (once per second): Battery/Charging channel warning.
- Flashing Red (once per second): Battery/Charging channel fault.
2. AC Output Unit Status Indicator (LED)
- Solid Yellow: AC output unit ready for use.
- Flashing Green (once per second): AC output unit in use.
- Flashing Yellow (once per second): AC output unit warning.
- Flashing Red (once per second): AC output unit fault.
3. Generator Status Indicator (LED)
- Flashing Yellow (four times per second): Generator not activated.
- Flashing Yellow (once per second): Generator warning.
- Flashing Red (once per second): Generator fault.
- Flashing Red (four times per second): Generator requires maintenance.
If any status LED is flashing indicating a warning or fault, or requires maintenance, connect the remote control to the product to check details.
In case of any malfunction or damage to any part of the product, it is recommended to contact official support or an authorized dealer for repair or replacement.
3. Getting Started
3.1 Filling Engine Oil
- The engine is not filled with engine oil before leaving the factory. Add 10W-40 SJ engine oil (or equivalent) before use.
- Place the generator on a level and stable surface. Unscrew the oil dipstick and fill the engine with oil to the rated capacity, then screw the oil dipstick back in.
3.2 Refueling
- Do not operate the generator before filling with engine oil or gasoline, otherwise the electronic fuel pump may be damaged.
- Do not overfill the fuel tank. Spillage can cause fire or explosion.
Fuel is highly flammable and explosive. Follow usage instructions carefully. Before refueling, turn off the generator and let it cool down completely.
- Unscrew the fuel tank cap and refuel the fuel tank with the recommended fuel type to the rated capacity according to the oil level gauge.
- Tighten the fuel tank cap after refueling. Use a dry cloth to wipe up any spilled fuel.
- The recommended fuel is unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91 RON and an ethanol content of less than 10% by volume. The recommended fuel for Brazil is unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91 RON and an ethanol content of 27% by volume.
4. Pre-Operation Check
Check the generator's condition before each operation. Ensure the generator is placed in a stable position and the engine switch is in the OFF position.
4.1 Common Inspection Items
- Check for any spilled engine oil or fuel around or under the generator.
- Remove any flammable materials in the vicinity, especially around the engine muffler and fan cover.
- Repair or replace any damaged, broken, faulty, deformed, or loose parts.
- Check that the muffler guard and fan cover are securely installed and that all nuts, bolts, and screws are tightened properly.
4.2 Important Inspection Items
- Fuel Level Check: Refuel the fuel tank before operation to minimize the chance of operation interruption due to low fuel level.
- Engine Oil Level Check: Operating with low engine oil level will damage the engine. When the engine oil level drops below the safety level, the built-in engine oil sensor will shut down the engine. Check the engine oil level before each operation to avoid inconvenience caused by unexpected flameouts.
- Air Filter Sponge Element Check: A dirty sponge element in the air filter will reduce the air intake into the electronic fuel injection unit, thus reducing generator performance.
5. Using the Generator
5.1 Activation and Firmware Update
The product must be activated before first use. After connecting the remote control to the product, launch the DJI Agras app on the remote control and tap Device Management > Charger to activate the product. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware when new firmware is available.
5.2 Starting the Generator
- If the generator fails to start, connect it to the remote control to view more information.
- If any electrical appliances are connected to the AC outlet while charging the battery, the battery's charging capacity will decrease accordingly, and the charging time will be extended.
- Do not connect any electrical appliances before starting the generator.
- Ensure the engine is filled with engine oil and the fuel tank is filled with fuel of at least one liter.
- Connect the charging cable to a DJI Intelligent Flight Battery in the shutdown state. Press and then press and hold the power button on the battery again to turn on the battery.
- Move the engine switch to the START position and hold it for at least 3 seconds. The engine switch will return to the ON position, and the generator will start automatically.
- The generator starts charging the battery.
5.3 Stopping the Generator
- Turn off all connected electrical appliances.
- Move the engine switch to the OFF position. The generator will stop operating.
- Disconnect all connected electrical appliances.
5.4 Using the DJI Intelligent Flight Battery as an External Power Source
- No need to start the generator.
- Connect the generator's charging cable to the DJI Intelligent Flight Battery. Press and then press and hold the power button on the battery again to turn on the battery.
- Press the generator's engine switch three consecutive times to enter the START position, and then the generator's AC output port will provide AC power.
- Connect an electrical appliance to the generator's AC output port.
6. Storage
Follow the steps below for storage if the generator will not be used for more than 30 days.
- Before storage, start the generator and let it run for five to ten minutes to warm up. Then, stop the generator to drain the engine oil.
- Remove the engine oil drain hose and turn the cap counterclockwise to open it. Drain all engine oil.
- To avoid burns, do not touch the hot engine oil.
- Reinstall the engine oil drain hose and turn the cap clockwise to tighten it.
- Remove the fuel drain screw located at the bottom of the fuel tank, drain the fuel using a funnel, and store the fuel in a dedicated container to prevent gummy deposits. Reinstall the fuel drain screw after completely draining the fuel. Clean the funnel and wipe it dry with a clean cloth before storage.
- Remove the screws securing the high-pressure oil drain hose. Remove the hose and drain the fuel inside. Reinstall the hose in its place.
- Place the generator in a cool, dry, and clean location.
7. Transportation
To avoid burns from flammable materials, if the generator is running, wait at least 15 minutes for it to cool down before transporting it in a vehicle. Ensure the generator is stable during transportation to prevent spillage.
8. Maintenance
Scan the QR code on the fuel tank to view tutorial videos or refer to the labels and stickers on the generator for maintenance instructions. Inspect and maintain the generator regularly to keep it in good condition.
8.1 Safety Precautions for Maintenance
- Before maintenance, stop the generator, disconnect all electrical appliances and batteries, and let the generator cool down completely.
- Keep the generator in a clean, dry, and stable environment. Ensure the generator cannot be accidentally moved.
- Read the user manual before operation and ensure you have all the necessary tools and skills.
- Be extremely careful when using the generator near fuel to minimize the risk of fire or explosion. Use a non-flammable solvent to clean parts. Do not use fuel for cleaning. Keep parts containing fuel away from cigarette butts, sparks, and open flames.
8.2 Maintenance Schedule
Follow the maintenance schedule in the table below. Increase maintenance frequency if the generator is operated in a dusty or harsh environment. Contact official support or an authorized dealer for maintenance items marked with an asterisk (*). For any other maintenance items not covered in this document, contact official support or an authorized dealer.

* H indicates operating hours.
A maintenance period of every 300 operating hours/1 year means the user should perform maintenance based on whichever scenario occurs first.
After every 300 operating hours, users should contact official support or an authorized dealer to inspect and clean the fuel injector nozzle filter, and drain the engine oil and fuel pump. Re-tighten the cylinder head screw to a torque of 55-60 Nm.
Engine oil consumption increases in high-temperature environments. Fill the engine oil to the rated level before each use and shorten the engine oil replacement interval.
8.3 Checking Engine Oil Level
- Stop the generator and place it on a level surface. If the generator was recently running, wait at least 15 minutes for it to cool down.
- Unscrew the oil dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
- Insert the oil dipstick as shown without screwing it in. Remove the oil dipstick and check the oil level. Do not tilt the dipstick.
- Add the recommended type of engine oil to the MAX mark if the level is close to the MIN mark or below it.
- Reinstall the oil dipstick and tighten it securely.
The warranty does not cover damage to the generator due to the following reasons: operation with low engine oil; failure to replace engine oil according to the maintenance schedule; use of non-recommended engine oil.
8.4 Replacing Engine Oil
- Place the generator on a level surface. Start the generator to warm up the engine for a few minutes, then stop the generator.
- Place a container under the engine oil drain hose.
- Remove the engine oil drain hose and turn the cap counterclockwise to open it. Wait until all engine oil is drained.
- Reinstall and secure the engine oil drain hose. Turn the cap clockwise to tighten it.
- Unscrew the oil dipstick and use the engine oil funnel to add engine oil up to the MAX level. Reinstall the oil dipstick and tighten it securely.
Contact official support or an authorized dealer for engine oil replacement.
Engine oil significantly affects engine performance and is the primary factor determining its service life. It is recommended to use engine oil that meets or exceeds API SJ specifications for four-stroke engines. The API rating is usually indicated on the engine oil bottle. Ensure it indicates 5 or a higher rating. The recommended engine oil is 10W-40 SJ.
To protect the environment, it is recommended to seal used engine oil in a container and deliver it to a designated recycling center. Do not dispose of used engine oil in household waste, on the ground, or in a drain.
8.5 Air Filter Sponge Element Inspection and Cleaning
- Remove the main air filter cover and take out the sponge air filter element. Clean the sponge air filter element thoroughly with regular detergent and warm water, and let it air dry in the sun. Clean the filter housing dust, and use carburetor cleaner to clean the engine oil in the cover and wipe it dry.
- Check if the paper air filter element has become wet with engine oil. If the surface of the paper air filter element is wet with engine oil, contact official support or an authorized dealer to replace the paper air filter element. If the paper air filter element does not need to be replaced, tap it gently on the ground to remove any dust or debris. Clean the filter housing dust, and use carburetor cleaner to clean the engine oil in the cover and wipe it dry.
- Reinstall the paper and sponge filter elements into the air filter, and reinstall the cover.
Replace the sponge air filter element if it is damaged during cleaning.
Do not use an air blower or compressed air to clean the paper air filter element, as this may damage the element's intake pores.
Ensure all air filter elements and the cover are reinstalled correctly.
8.6 Cleaning the Spark Arrester
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screws and the protective cover. Remove the spark arrester.
- Inspect the spark arrester. Wash it with carburetor cleaner and remove deposits with a wire brush. Replace it if it is damaged.
- Install the clean or new spark arrester and secure it with the screws.
8.7 Spark Plug Inspection, Cleaning, and Replacement
- Stop the generator and ensure it has cooled down completely.
- Remove the spark plug using a dedicated spark plug socket and inspect the spark plug. Replace the spark plug immediately if the insulator or sealing gasket is broken.
- Remove carbon deposits or other residues using a stiff wire brush.
- Adjust the electrode to ensure the gap is within the standard range of 0.6 mm to 0.8 mm.
- When reinstalling the spark plug, thread it into the engine by hand for two or three rotations.
- Continue to tighten using the dedicated spark plug socket.
Contact official support or an authorized dealer for spark plug maintenance.
The recommended torque is 20-25 Nm. A loose spark plug will cause the engine to overheat, while overtightening it will damage the engine's threads.
The original spark plug model is F6RTC. Installing the wrong type of spark plug will damage the engine.
To ensure proper engine operation, make sure the spark plug gap is correct and there are no deposits.
