This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your Westinghouse water dispenser.

Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance. Always use with a power outlet matching the appliance's voltage. Never immerse the power cord, plug, or appliance body in water. Use touch panel buttons only during operation as surfaces may become warm. Unplug when not in use and before cleaning. Keep out of reach of children under 8 years old. Allow 30 minutes to cool down after operation before handling or cleaning. This appliance is intended for household use and similar applications.

Key Safety Points:

  • Do not operate if the cord or plug is damaged.
  • Close supervision is necessary when used near children.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Keep the cord away from hot surfaces.
  • Do not place combustible materials near the appliance.
  • Leave adequate space around the appliance (5 cm sides, 10 cm top).
  • Do not place near hot burners or ovens.
  • Do not use for unintended purposes.
  • Do not clean with chemical cleansers or abrasive materials.
  • Caution: Hot steam is released through the spout during operation.
  • Caution: Allow 30 minutes to cool down after operation.
  • Do not use with external timers or remote controls.
  • Do not use if dropped or damaged until examined by an authorized service center.
  • Do not permit the cord or plug to touch hot objects.
  • Not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised.
  • Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Children should not play with the appliance.
  • Do not leave unattended while in use.
  • Not for commercial use.
  • Do not fill past the MAX level.
  • Ensure the appliance is on a stable, level surface.
  • Refrain from placing hot beverages onto cold surfaces.
  • Do not operate without sufficient water.

Electrical Requirements

Power Supply Cord: Do not modify the power cord or plug. A short cord is provided to reduce entanglement risk. If the cord is too short, have a qualified electrician install a nearby outlet. Westinghouse and its retailers are not liable for damage due to failure to observe electrical connection procedures.

Installation Guide

  1. Carefully unpack the appliance and remove packaging. Do not remove warning labels.
  2. Complete Rinse Cycle:
    • Fill the water tank to the 4L mark.
    • Press and hold the lock button (2) for 3-5 seconds to unlock.
    • Press the Temp. button (3) until 000 (degrees) is selected.
    • Press the Volume button (4) until 000 (infinite) is selected.
    • Press Start/Cancel (5) and dispense 1L of cold water. Discard.
    • Press the Temp. button (3) until 100 (degrees) is selected.
    • Press the Volume button (4) until 000 (infinite) is selected.
    • Dispense remaining water (Caution: Hot) and discard.
    • Refill the tank to the 4L mark. The appliance is now ready for use.

Always ensure the unit has sufficient water in the reservoir before operation.

Operation:

  1. Complete the rinse cycle as described in the Installation Guide.
  2. Place a cup on the removable water tray (6), aligning it with the spout (3). Use the tray height extender if needed.
  3. Hold the lock button (2) for 3-5 seconds until the unit unlocks (Temp. and Volume buttons light up, 000 flashes on the LCD).
  4. Press the Temp. button (3) to select the desired temperature (000, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85, or 100°C). If set to 000, water dispenses at the temperature it is in the tank.
  5. Press the Volume button (4) to select the desired volume (100ml, 200ml, 300ml, or 000 for infinite). For infinite, press Start/Cancel (5) to start and stop the flow.
  6. Press the Start/Cancel button (5) to begin dispensing. Press again to cancel at any time.

Overheat Protection and Reset: If the appliance stops and displays code E7, it has overheated. Unplug, refill the tank, and if the code persists, use the reset key in the reset cavity (4) to reset the appliance.

Cleaning & Care

Caution: Allow 30 minutes to cool down after use before cleaning.

Cleaning:

  • Do not immerse the power cord, mains plug, or appliance body in water.
  • Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
  • Descaling: Descale monthly. Empty reservoir, mix 1L of coffee machine descaler solution as per instructions, and pour into reservoir. Set Temp to 100°C and Volume to 000. Dispense the descaler solution and discard. Refill reservoir to 4L and complete another rinse cycle, discarding the rinse water.
  • Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. A mild dishwashing detergent may be applied to the cloth if necessary.
  • Do not place accessories in a dishwasher; they are not dishwasher safe.
  • Ensure all items are dried thoroughly after cleaning.
  • Store in a dry place away from steam and humidity.

Troubleshooting

Before Calling for Service:

  • Appliance fails to operate: Check plug connection. Check circuit breaker. Test another appliance in the outlet.

If the problem persists, do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Contact Customer Service.

Limited Warranty

This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Westinghouse branded products are warranted against manufacturing defects for the period specified below, subject to the following clauses:

  • The warranty commences on the date of purchase and covers the owner for the duration of the warranty period.
  • If a manufacturing defect is discovered within the warranty period, Westinghouse will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product at its cost, or refund the purchase price.
  • The warranty does not apply to products that have failed due to excessive wear and tear, misuse, neglect, accidental damage (including fire and flood), or operation contrary to instructions.
  • To make a claim, return the product to the place of purchase with proof of purchase.
  • Westinghouse will examine the returned product and advise if the claim is accepted. If accepted, Westinghouse will arrange for repair, replacement, or refund.
  • Westinghouse will not accept returned products not returned in accordance with this warranty.

Warranty Periods:

  • Small Appliances: 1 Year Limited Warranty

Definitions:

  • Australian Consumer Law: Law as set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
  • Consumer: Purchaser of goods from the seller.
  • Owner: The owner of the property where the product is installed and used.
  • Product: The Westinghouse product purchased by the Owner.
  • Warranty Period: The duration for which the product is covered by this warranty.
