Chapter 2 - Intel Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install the JONSBO CR-1400 DV2 Series cooler on an Intel platform:
Step 1: Install Backplate
Attach the Intel backplate (B) to the motherboard and secure it using the Intel spacers (C).
Diagram shows the backplate (B) and spacers (C) being positioned and attached to the motherboard.
Step 2: Attach Mounting Brackets
Install the Intel mounting brackets (F) onto the backplate. Secure them using the fixing nuts (E) and screws (D).
Diagram illustrates the Intel brackets (F) being mounted onto the backplate, fastened with nuts (E) and screws (D).
Step 3: Apply Thermal Grease
Apply a small amount of thermal grease (K) evenly onto the center of the CPU's integrated heat spreader (IHS).
Diagram shows thermal grease (K) being applied to the CPU surface.
Step 4: Prepare Heatsink
If the fan is pre-attached, remove it from the heatsink assembly before mounting the heatsink onto the CPU.
Diagram shows the fan being detached from the main heatsink body.
Step 5: Mount Heatsink
Carefully place the heatsink onto the CPU, aligning the mounting mechanism with the installed brackets. Secure the heatsink according to the fastener design.
Diagram shows the heatsink being lowered onto the CPU and connected to the mounting brackets.
Step 6: Connect Fan and ARGB
Connect the CPU cooler's fan cable (CPU FAN) and the ARGB LED cable to the corresponding headers on the motherboard. Refer to the diagram for correct header locations.
