3. Installation

Check signal strength. Install the detector.

The installation process involves checking signal strength and then physically installing the detector. The diagrams illustrate steps for mounting and connecting the device.

4. Test

The device can be tested using the Test/Silence Button. The indicator light will show the status.

Battery Warning:

  • Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
  • Do not attempt to recharge, disassemble, heat above 100°C (212°F), or incinerate the battery.
  • Do not swallow battery. May cause severe or fatal internal burns in as little as 2 hours.
  • Keep new and used batteries away from children.
  • If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.

Installation Warning:

The force exerted on the device shall be three times the weight of the device but not less than 50 N. The device and its associated mounting means must be firmly secured. After installation, there shall be no damage to the device or the mounting plate.

FCC Information:

This is a class A product. In a domestic environment this product may cause radio interference, in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
